Hello folks, This is the feedback thread for the September 29th update for Train Sim World 6. Have you noticed a change in performance? Are there any particular highlights for you? Does the changelog properly reflect the fixes you've received? Is there anything listed as fixed that is still appearing for you? When providing feedback, please always add the following details if possible: Platform (i.e.: PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One) Service/Scenario played when the issue occurred. Repeatability. How often does this issue occur? Images/Videos of the issue occurring Specific Fix listed in the changelog related to the issue you're reporting All the best, Jan
On Xbox Series X, just downloaded today’s update and on the Airedale Wharfedale route, attempting to play timetable services (I’ve tried 4, plus a spawn on foot) every time it’s an immediate crash to the desktop, the loading screen doesn’t get past a few seconds. UPDATE - Tried further timetable services and scenarios and ALL crash to the desktop shortly into loading. This route is now completely unplayable.
jmveeee Sorry to hear this. Will try this myself. In the meantime, do you have any pending updates and have you fully closed and restarted the game (no quick resume) You will receive updates for the base game and all the new add-ons. Update: I have been unable to reproduce the issue.
Hey Chris, Did a hard console reset and there was a TSW7 core update to apply. Not sure why it wasn’t there when the A&W route update and 333 update ran. Sorted now. Thanks!
Playing with the 331, it mentioned in the patch that the brake release is quicker... On a 331 the train would usually start moving almost immediately after placing the throttle into power. Also the motors still need a bit of work it's close but decelerating is still wrong and the 'howling' as some people call it after 15mph is still unaudible at 40mph, should be able to hear it until the moment the self direct control frequency cuts out. Hope this helps open up some ideas for improving!
I drove yesterday with the EC 216 (BR101 expert) and shortly after Frankfurt hbf the textures were blurred again. Same with an ice t service. I wonder what exactly is supposed to be patched there...
Yesterday I went from Hanau to Frankfurt by passenger train. The textures maintained their legibility and sharpness even at the Frankfurt train station. The second trip was in the opposite direction. The textures blurred in front of the Hanau train station. There will be something there that consumes a lot of RAM. The performance is also noticeably worse in Hanau than in Frankfurt. I played in 4K mode, layering on, fog off, motion blur off. The weather was cloudy. PS5 parforma.
On PC - AI conductor barely works on realistic mode - almost never opens or closes doors (the engineer wouldn't ever be doing that anyway). Tri Rail BL36 bell randomly stops working without turning it off. The Rotem cab car horn and bell are unrealistically quiet inside and out. The EATC in the cab on all things shouldn't be perma-locked at 79, should update with the track speeds like the real thing. Every Tri Rail cab car I pass, in multiple different timetable runs and on different days, has the same number as the cab car on the train I'm running. After the most recent patch, AI conductor on realistic mode *still* doesn't work worth a darn. Won't open or close doors at all. Tri Rail Rotem cab car horn and bell are *still* too quiet inside and out and all other things I listed in my previous comment are still around. Patch did nothing.
Bug report! If you're sat in the Driver's (not Engineer's!) Seat of the West Cornwall 150/2 and go into Photo Mode... Photo Mode Issue by robwoods#9284 posted Oct 1, 2026 at 3:11 PM
I got it on sale in TSW3. Always affected me. When I wrote a scenario for it a while back on Blackpool Branches, I had to cheat when it came to uploading pics. https://creatorsclub.dovetailgames.com/creations/229249 If you look at the pics uploaded, you'll notice the exterior shots are strange angles because I had to sub in the Cardiff 150 for the photos!
PC (Steam) Version ・Nuremberg Station: The signal for the line towards Würzburg (Platform 30) does not match the HUD; it shows no "proceed" indication even when the signal is green. ・BR 442 Talent: Interior announcement volume is too low (sounds like a quiet, hard-to-hear voice). ・Stuttering occurs at terminal stations during long-distance runs (including Nuremberg Freight Yard and Würzburg). ・Stuttering occurs near Fürth Station due to heavy train traffic. Please fix these issues.
Today, I continued testing for texture blurring on my PS5, running an ICE 1 train from Fulda to Frankfurt in clear weather. Some slight blurring occurred in Hanau, but only on the exterior textures; the cab interior textures remained fine. I didn't notice any texture issues at Frankfurt station, and the train's markings remained legible. I then made the return trip; I encountered the first blurring issue just past Frankfurt—again, only on the train's exterior, while the interior texture stayed clear. In many instances, the textures corrected themselves by the time I reached Fulda. Interestingly, I experienced significantly more texture blurring issues on the Frankfurt-to-Fulda run.
Loading back to the menu screen after completing a service was much better on XSX with no lag. A few of the route icons took a while to load still, nowhere near as badly as before for me though
This is my feedback from Series X following last week's small updates (namely memory optimisation pass on rolling stock to reduce blurring issues): - Maintalbahn: Still blurry textures, especially when passing AI traffic, although I perhaps think a slight reduction in blurry textures occurrence - Stuttgart: Blurry textures still rife and exactly the same, plus performance overall the worst as the game froze again too like before - Frankfurt-Fulda: Still blurry textures - Semmeringbahn: N/A as the route has never once blurred for me
for all the optimisation patches that have been released over the past couple of years not one seems to have had any sort of positive effect. in fact they often make things worse
There have been patches that did have positive effects: both Birmingham Crewe (still intermittent blurs but far better than at release) and Crewe-Preston are way better than they were before. Yes, there are still issues and optimization should continue, but progress has been made. This is on PS5, dont know how it works out for the X-box S or X.
I noticed a slight improvement on my ps5 with the Frankfurt - Fulda add-on. I managed to drive the entire route with slight texture blurring. The second time, the textures got blurry in front of Fulda in the tunnel.
XSX - HD I'm finding routes that worked fairly well on TSW6 are running worse on TSW7. Had a run down WCMLOS and it was good for the most part but entering into Carlisle was a bit more stuttery than usual. I also had to quit the game once to load into the route as that bug with everything blurring and sounds breaking happened again
Game Console Gen 8 (ex PS4) is not supported in TSW7. You need to remove that/those things from your list.
