So if you have the Xbox app on your PC you can play it without using Steam? Using the DLC you purchased through Xbox?
Yes, you can play the game including all DLC on XBOX as well on PC without any extra cost. It's just one purchase for both platforms, they call it "Xbox Play Anywhere".
Thats 1 advantage we have as Xbox users over PS ones. If we did switch to PC we wouldn't have to buy all our content again. But also we wouldn't be able to have all the sales Steam gets. So there still is a trade off as we all know how MS sales are conpared to Steam.
Xbox sales are much more frequent and offer deeper discounts nowadays than they used to. Still nothing compared to Steam or PlayStation, but vastly improved on what they were on XBox.
The sales are better for sure, the last sale was one of the best, with even multiple 3rd party products on sale, something which almost never happens.
It would seem DTG is no longer overly concerned about this issue and furthermore, they don’t seem to overly care about the console player experience. If they were, they would have sorted it by now and improved the experience of console players, especially those on more capable hardware like the PS5 Pro.
They do have an extra 1.2GB to play with. The downside is though if they impliment PSSR upscaling which is highly requested its going to eat up most of that extra RAM that there would really be no extra to go towards that VRAM. Also that means possibly if the impliment PSSR on regular PS5 they would run more like Xbox because of the amount of RAM it takes up. So even then its not going to ever be like PC which can have 8GB - 32GB of VRAM if consoles are limited to 2-4GB towards VRAM. 5.2GB if you add the little bit extra PS5 gives you.
Funny how this thread was started in the run up to TSW7 to give off the 'we care' vibe. And then complete radio silence in, I think I am right in saying, over two months now!!!
Considering the priority of blurred textures, it makes me wonder why this thread is not kept at the top of the general discussion forum like it was before?
I guess that depends on whether you think one issue means the rest of the game is invalidated. It's usually reserved for charlatans and people who "pretend" to be a doctor or a lawyer or something then run off with your money. I can see why one person might think that from an individual perspective, but it's not like there aren't 100,000 people actually playing a game every day. There are a lot of factors involved that aren't in the core program itself, so it makes it complicated. For example if someone doesn't have enough RAM or VRAM in their computer, DTG can't control that. They can't control internet connection. They can't control any mods installed. For consoles, there's age, model and batch to consider. There's what other games are installed, amount of space left on the HD, etc. The same visible issue could come from 12 different things and it's unique to each. Kind of like "cancer" or "flu like symptoms." Saying "blurry" is a vague term that could be a ton of things. If we diagnosed medical ailments like we did tech support by public forum I think we'd be blaming the doctor for not giving us a miracle cure for "cancer" already. An individualized tech support line or a sub forum just for this where individuals are run through remedies and there's feedback people can use might be better than just ranting about it vaguely. For example "we found that installing this mod and this layer triggers this" or "if you have this model XBox and you don't have half your hard drive space available with this route and these layers..." Without details, all of this sounds to me like people saying "CANCER SUCKS!" Yes. It does indeed. But...... would you really expect a doctor to just wave a wand and make it go away? Or get in detailed and asking what specifically you have and how specifically to treat it for you individually?
