So if you have the Xbox app on your PC you can play it without using Steam? Using the DLC you purchased through Xbox?

Yes, you can play the game including all DLC on XBOX as well on PC without any extra cost. It's just one purchase for both platforms, they call it "Xbox Play Anywhere".

Thats 1 advantage we have as Xbox users over PS ones.

If we did switch to PC we wouldn't have to buy all our content again. But also we wouldn't be able to have all the sales Steam gets. So there still is a trade off as we all know how MS sales are conpared to Steam.

Xbox sales are much more frequent and offer deeper discounts nowadays than they used to. Still nothing compared to Steam or PlayStation, but vastly improved on what they were on XBox.

The sales are better for sure, the last sale was one of the best, with even multiple 3rd party products on sale, something which almost never happens.

It would seem DTG is no longer overly concerned about this issue and furthermore, they don’t seem to overly care about the console player experience. If they were, they would have sorted it by now and improved the experience of console players, especially those on more capable hardware like the PS5 Pro.

They do have an extra 1.2GB to play with.

The downside is though if they impliment PSSR upscaling which is highly requested its going to eat up most of that extra RAM that there would really be no extra to go towards that VRAM.

Also that means possibly if the impliment PSSR on regular PS5 they would run more like Xbox because of the amount of RAM it takes up.

So even then its not going to ever be like PC which can have 8GB - 32GB of VRAM if consoles are limited to 2-4GB towards VRAM. 5.2GB if you add the little bit extra PS5 gives you.
