Thank you all once again for your continued feedback following the release of Train Sim World: Great Western Express. Your input has helped us identify and address a number of issues, which we have outlined below. General Fixed graphical glitches with the brake pipe hoses on trains. Localisation A large amount of missing Polish translations have been added, along with improvements to some existing translations. Keyboard Fixes to German, Spanish and Norwegian keyboards to support using the train brakes, AWS and DSD keyboard mappings. Added the ability to toggle Motion Blur on and off with CTRL + F2. Gameplay Fixed the 'Reach 40mph' objective sometimes failing to trigger in the Station Stopping Tutorial Fixed the 'scenario timing brief' in the HUD outro screen. This update is around 1.2 GB in size and will download automatically from Steam (note that you may need to restart Steam to kick off the download). If you have any problems/queries with regard to the update, leave a comment below or submit a ticket to our support site where our Support Team will be ready to assist. Thank you all for your continued feedback and support.
If Ctrl+F2 is working it must be a subtle difference as it looks the same to me. Any chance of notifying us by a message on screen please?
Yes also need track junctions sound, controller force feedback or vibration, improvment of this awful flat clouds that spoil the all game, sound in général and track distant view.
Thanks for being so quick with some fixes! There is still a rogue cable hanging down and dragging on the track between the HST power car and the Mk3 coach. Cheers MrL
Hey thanks for the update, good work! Unfortunately Ctrl+F2 does not work! (german keyboard). altering the engine.ini file, like you suggested to do before the update to get rid of motion blur, works perfectly fine. only for GWE though...CSX still has motion blur...
In order for the CTRL + F2 function to work, you will need to remove any changes you may have made to the .ini file. We will also look into this our to ensure the support is working for this function on a German keyboard. Thank you for the feedback.
I still cant map any keys I have a french layout keyboard on a dutch system.. must see what code i get ingame
No, i haven't removed Motion Blur because i like it. I tried it from engine.ini but it wasn't what i wanted - so i deleted the lines. This is how my Engine.ini looks like. There's no mention of the (random?) AWS emergency stops occurring, especially on the type 66, but I've had it on the HST too. This is where an emergency stop occurs when there has been no AWS warning, and there's no red/amber lights or track speed changes ahead. I got the impression from Matt's stream that this bug had been found and fixed in your test build, but awaiting QC prior to release in a patch. I assumed this patch was the target for the fix Cheers Nah ......... I just did service 4L58 and got an emergency stop for no reason when approaching a red light @15MPH (stopped 327 yd from light)
Apologise if this is in the wrong section but just a suggestion that seems to be missed off. Could you put station names on the map view please? I know it's only a small thing compared to the other things that you've got on you're plate at the moment but it's 1 thing I haven't seen mentioned anywhere so thought I'd drop it in. Really enjoying the game so far though. Still having issues with track missing and people wondering around in out of bounds places so I'm guessing this will be sorted soon. Thanks guys.
Hi, After deleting "input.ini" file, TSW rebluid a new one and now Ctrl F2 and others inputs work. Differences between the two versions of "input.ini" file are the following: ActionMappings=(ActionName="HUD_CompassDriveToggle",Key=Five,bShift=False,bCtrl=True,bAlt=False,bCmd=False) ActionMappings=(ActionName="HUD_CompassToggle",Key=Seven,bShift=False,bCtrl=True,bAlt=False,bCmd=False) ActionMappings=(ActionName="HUD_ObjectiveStopAtToggle",Key=Seven,bShift=False,bCtrl=True,bAlt=False,bCmd=False) ActionMappings=(ActionName="HUD_ScoreToggle",Key=Six,bShift=False,bCtrl=True,bAlt=False,bCmd=False) ActionMappings=(ActionName="ToggleHeadLamp",Key=Gamepad_DPad_Right,bShift=False,bCtrl=False,bAlt=False,bCmd=False) ActionMappings=(ActionName="ToggleMotionBlur",Key=F2,bShift=False,bCtrl=True,bAlt=False,bCmd=False)
Hey Jordan Thanks for your answer. Yes i considered that to be the problem and tried it out with the orig. ini file. No success, ctrl+F2 still dont work. So i put the alterded file back in. But that dont bothers me much for i got motion blur turned off anyway, i can live with this solution. What i dont get though is, why it turns off motion blur only in GWE in not in CSX as well...? Greets Hank
I can confirm, after deleting input.ini in Documents Folder CTRL + F2 is working for disabled Motion Blur!
Performance stutter with AC4400CW when moving from an internal camera to an external camera still persists.
Well isn't it interesting that Steam, with it's combatitive inhabitants and vitriolic comments, is getting more Dev attention than here, where we're civilised and willing to share in the enthusiasm and ambition that DTG are showing with TSW.
Well I just started CSX heavy haul running the AC4400CW everything appears good with the engine sounds and stutter is good now still dont seem loud enough but I tried with vsync on and off I still got one crash with it on and off switched to TAA have I7 3770k processor 16 gig of ram and also graphics high
Sorry guys, with everyone being off ill yesterday it was down to me to do everything across the board, as well as my usual day job, and I forgot all about this forum - really sorry for that, will try to do better in the future. Please don't run me over in that SD40 just yet!
