doing the AC4400CW coal run and the train horn sound got stuck and faded away as the train kept rolling. the train horn sound would then randomly appear again in intervals during the scenario.

I had this also, when using the "8" camera.

I encountered this as well, twice, also while using the AC44. It seemed to only happen if I used the horn while using the external camera.

I had the same issue on the GP38 and AC4400. There is a temporary fix to it which if you go to free camera and move the camera in the opposite direction of the train. When you go so far away from the train it, when you go to select view engineers seat it will say default and the loading screen will come on and it resets the horn for you.

This happened to me on TSW 2020 as well in the GP38 on the Peninsula Corridor route. I was really hoping Dovetail would have fixed this for TSW2. Please Dovetail can you patch this issue on the next update.

I saved my game, and then went out to Main Menu. When I came back in on my saved game, stuck horn was gone and I was able to use the horn successfully when I pushed the horn button. I don't know if it will work again, but it did this time.

That's a lot of mucking about for such a small issue. Especially when one never knows if saved games will work properly when re-loaded.I had hoped to find a solution here but it seems the problem is considered too minor for DTG to worry about.
Seems to be a common occurrence that should be fixed. However, if I do the run again soon I will try your fix, because the horn going off and stopping by itself is annoying.

Had this on PS4 too. Does it sometimes on RHH and Peninsula Corridor too. It just pops up every now and then. And it’s really really irritating.

I think this happens to all trains on the route. I’ve had it happen to myself as well with different locos.
