Hello, I would like to propose the route Brighton/Eastbourne to London Victoria/Bridge. The route is characterized by its diversity and its operation. Within London, as well in the southern surrounding area, there is always a high volume of trains. I think this route could inspire a lot of people, because with it every player could be satisfied. Old trains meet modern ones. There are shorter connections (London Victoria-London Bridge) and journeys up to 90 min (London-Eastbourne). It`s driven slowly and for most up to 90mph. There are nummerous famous railway stations and sights along the route. There are numerous of tasks, from shunting to run freight trains along the route and the express trains (Gatwick Express).

Why DTG should build this route?

    1. Players want longer routes (with ECW from London to Eastbourne about 70 miles)
    2. Players want variety
    3. Most part of the route and some trains has already been developed for the TS and could serve as help (London to Brighton Route 50 miles, South London Network Route 25 miles, old Gatwick Express, class 455/8 EMU and class 377(ECW)). New without help would only be to build the line between Wivelsfield and Lewes and the short part from Redhill to Reigate. New Trains are Thameslink class 700, Gatwick Express class 387 and Southern class 313.
    4. There is no train division in the game as it is carried out every half hour in Haywards Heath
    5. Impressive overhauls and parallel journeys of suburban trains

    Timetable:
    Southern:
    • Brighton - London Victoria am: 5:29; 5:39; 6:09; 6:39; 7:09; 7:39..........pm: 10:39; 11:13
    • Eastbourne/Preston Park - London Victoria/Bridge
    1. Eastbourne: am: 4:56; 5:20; 6:06; 6:35; 7:06; 7:35........pm: 9:35; 10:06
    2. Preston Park: am: 5:56; 6:25; 6:55; 7:25; 7:55......pm: 9:55; 10:25
    • Three Bridges - London Victoria am: 5:22; 6:04; 6:34; 7:34..........pm: 10:04; 22:34
    • Reigate Station - London Victoria am: 6:30; 7:06; 7:30; 8:00.........pm: 10:31;11:02
    • Purley - London Victoria/Bridge am: 5:11; 5:52; 6:09; 6:19; 6:28; 6:39; 6:49; 6:58; 7;09......
    • South and East Croydon - London Victoria/Bridge
    • Norwood Junction - London Bridge am: 6:02; 6:15; 6:45; 7:15.....pm: 10:45; 11:25
    • Norwood Junction - London Victoria am: 5:21; 5:49; 6:19; 6:59; 7:28..............pm: 10:28; 10;58
    • Crystal Palace - London Bridge am: 5:53; 6:23......pm: 10:53; 11:24
    • Selhurst/Balham - London Victoria/Bridge
    • London Victoria - London Bridge am: 6:20; 6:50....... pm: 11:20; 11:56
    Thameslink:
    • Brighton - London Bridge am: 0:04; 4:12; 5:06; 5:25; 5:55; 6:12; 6:25; 6:42...
    • Three Bridges - London Bridge am: 1:41; 2:15; 2:41; 3:15.......5:27; 5:43; 6:13; 6:43; 7:13...
    Gatwick Express:
    • Brighton - London Victoria
    • Gatwick Airport - London Victoria
    GWR:
    • Gatwick Airport - Reigate

The timetables are only an overview for what is possible. Only for one direction, but I think with a complete Timetable more than 500 rides could be possible. When it is not this route, I hope one day we get a track, with a complex timetable like this.

I think this might be a good route, maybe, If DTG wants to extend the current route, we can get this!

Ties in nicely with my suggestion of the North Downs Line which could end up seeing a direct connecting set of routes, all the way from Eastbourne to Reading and into various London stations (Paddington, Victoria and London Bridge).
    Please, please, please DTG.

I must admit that this package of routes, which you can mostly get on TS1 for about £12 in total (South London Network plus London-Brighton).... is utterly fantastic as a simulation (on TS1).

But I am not sure that TSW is designed to deal with Victoria station, where you can get maybe get ten 8/12 car formations running paralled to each other.... (although this traffic is modelled in TS1).

Now for me this is the most desirable route for the UK. I kindly ask Dovetail Games to include it in the roadmap.

There is so much potential. I would have said that because there are so many routes to London Bridge, I would have just stayed with London Vic.
Thameslinks and other services would still be able to operate to Norwood or East Croydon depending on the service, but I think that it would become slight too big for the branches to London Bridge.
Maybe if it was an extension?
I would absolutely buy this the moment it came out. But like you said, it would have to include Keymer Junction to Lewes just so that it made the triangle along with the ECW.

Yeah I've noticed this also in the short time I've been on these forums is how much people would love this route to be added into TSW2. It's not the longest route tbh and it's got a variety of stock running on it.

I couldn’t agree more. It can be a very intense service what with the Thameslinks and the Southern services both Suburban and the Mainline services. The freight is intensive too:
Newhaven Marine has a train a day, Newhaven Town Yard has a train per day, Crawley New Yard has several per day, and Purley has a train most days.
There are also movements like Class 73 services ie driver training and RHTT services. They can basically do what they want with this route DLC wise because there are so many to chose from.
Even if they didn’t add the Class 387 for Gatwick Express services, you could just Re livery a Class 377, and then just use that for the odd service.

Exactly so much choices and services with new thameslink trains aswell with 465 networkers which are in planning phase of the road map so more timetable services hours upon hours of drive time which I always look for, its the one mode I enjoy the most in TSW2 is Timetable Services and this line will be mayhem but also enjoyable.

Ore,Hastings and Eastbourne need to be complete different stations instead of 1 whole station for it to happen. Really like the idea.

Station? I’m not sure what you mean.
Do you mean that the services to Hastings and Eastbourne shouldn’t all terminate at Eastbourne?

Considering on the route that all 3 stations are different where a extention could be possible as it doesn’t really make sense to do a Ore and Hasting service to terminate at Hastings.

If the North Downs Line were added as well, we would end up with a mega route from Paddington and Victoria via Reading, Guildford, Redhill and Brighton to Seaford and Eastbourne. Lots of interesting types operated on the North Downs Line over the years from locomotive hauled to DEMU, 1st generation DMU, Class 165/166 to the latest Class 769 tri mode converted from Class 319 Thameslink units.

DTG must at least CONSIDER creating this as an extension to the existing East Coastway. People want extensions. It must be easier if it is built on the existing route to begin with. I doubt DTG will want to merge it after release!

Yes especially considering the Triangle could be complete if they extended from Lewes up to Victoria too.

London - Brighton is an extremely popular route that (surprisingly) still hasn’t been added to TSW. It would be a great route for players to experience in the game. Especially with the different variations in rolling stock.

I’ve made my own ‘Video Suggestion’ about a week back for London - Brighton, and just by looking at the engagement on that video, I can tell that the Route is extremely popular. DTG, you know we want London - Brighton, so please consider adding it to TSW soon.

He means that Sam has said that the next development cycle (when they will say what the next bunch of intended routes and trains are) isn't in today's roadmap update, but Matt has said it's likely to be in the next roadmap update in two weeks time
