Not sure what's going on here. I am at what should be the final part of this scenario in the Class 31, "Stop at Tees Valley". The signal for me to leave Tees Yard is red and remains red forever. I've tried waiting 10 minutes, half an hour, etc; it never changes to green. Tried contacting dispatcher: Denied. Wait for signal to change. Tried getting within 5y of the signal. Tried being several yards away from signal. Nothing. I've also tried restarting the scenario multiple times - no good. I also don't see any other trains moving anywhere down the line either. Seems like the majority of the route just has red signals. Not sure if this worked in TSW2020 but it seems to not work in TSW 2 and I can't finish the scenario like this.
If I can remember, I will check when I am back from work. Though I am quite positive that I completed all scenarios on TVL including the additional locos. So it should be possible to complete them
I have completed that scenario on PC. May be worth checking where your stop marker is (from memory it’s quite a way before a red signal as you have to do some shunting)
This video is of TSW2020, but I am at this part where you drive couple into the train without the hot axle problem (Around 38 mins and 50 seconds is where I'm at). See the part where the person in the video drives into the cars, couples the locomotive, and then switches cabs and the signal to leave the yard is already green? The "signal already being green" part does not happen for me, and the signal is red and stays red forever. Just left the game on overnight and it was still red. I cannot even begin to imagine what I'm doing wrong as all my steps were the same as this person in the video, minus them derailing the train and having to reload.
Did you play the scenario from the beginning or did you save and reload it later? Savegames are broken atm and red signals never turn green after reloading into the scenario.
I played from the beginning but also tried reloading a save and nothing changed. I'll try reinstalling the DLC later.
I did it again right now and there was not a single red signal for me. Just had a few white dwarf signals. Maybe you make a mistake, would you like to activate your Steam Stream so I can watch help you?
Nah, I did not make a mistake here. After uninstalling and reinstalling both the class 31 DLC and the Tees Valley Line DLC I was able to successfully complete the scenario without issue.
Just experienced exactly the same issue on Xbox after all the recent updates. Frustrating but it looks like there is a random bug somewhere. think the problem may be another train that enters the yard and also has a red light. Tried moving it and shutting it down without luck so it’s start again I think.
There have been reports of the bug recently: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/cant-complete-tanker-trouble-class-31-tvl-ps5.53412/
I've just played this on TSW3 and found the red signal problem still hasn't been fixed. The last signal clearing and letting you enter Tees Yard depends on how long you take to do the scenario. The way to complete this is to drive aggressively not paying too much attention to speeding and fly about with the '8' camera to un/couple the wagons.
I can confirm that, no matter how you drive, you should come to a stop at Tees Engineer Yard no later than 9:16. After going around the tankers, you should have coupled no later than 9:28, do not change the loco, set the reverser to reverse, accelerate and TY553 turns green. All very tight in terms of time. (Class 20 installed)
Didn't change the locos to save time, I can't tell you if that has any effect. It is only important that you are coupled to the wagons again and moved off before the AI train with the Class 20 or Class 37 enters the siding. If you are not fast enough, both signals remain red and the scenario cannot be completed.
Thank you. I also thought that those 37s make confusion. Maybe they are scheduled to go via the siding we leave the tankers? Anyway something is probably messed up here.
This scenario still seems to be broken. I raced around and got coupled up to the tankers ready to leave at 09:22 but the light was already on red and never changed.
Even with speeding at 60mph for most of the way to tees yard, the 37 still beats me to the yard while I'm removing the faulty freight car and I get a red signal so I can never couple to the other end of the freight wagons.
This is how far I get before being stuck by the red light. Doesn't matter how long I wait or calling dispatcher since that just tells me to wait until the light changes. I am following the instructions exactly like it tells me to do.
It appears that this is still a random bug, As I have completed it without a issue with my old profile. But now that I am using a new profile, and having to re do all of the scenario's, for the life of me I can not do this scenario. No matter what I do, I still get the red light! I even did 60 all the way to the yard, yet still a red light.
Found this topic while experiencing problems with the scenario in TSW3... Doesn't do the trick. Confirmed that speeding doesn't work.
No clue why he gets a green light and I don't. Also, my map routing seems silly. Different than in his video anyways.
Indeed, that looks weird, just like you took the wrong path for run around. Hmmm ... I can try to reproduce this scenario again on TSW3 and shoot a video. But what platform are you on? Just asking because I´m on PS5 (on so was FredElliot when recording his video IINM) and we might compare apples and oranges if you´re on PC or XBox?!
I´ve driven that scenario again and failed as well the first time. The run around line remained blue, just like in your screenshot above. From there it doesn´t go farther. At the second attempt, I stopped very closely to the switches before reversing, then I stopped precisely at the "Go via ..." marker instead of running through and went towards the dwarf signal to stop also very closely there. The blue line now disappeared and as soon as I coupled to the train, the signal went green. You might try this version, hopefully it helps.
I had this issue a few nights ago also. I had to play it a 2nd time around but found that if I stopped perfectly on the first stop marker in the repair yard before you remove the damaged wagon from the consist it let me leave the yard on a green and completed it. Following all speed limits etc. The time I failed it I went over the stop marker by about 4-5 yards. But stopped perfectly on it the 2nd time when I completed the scenario
