Just noticed a new patch has just been released. I'm downloading it right now with a size of 4.8 GB. From looking at the steamdb, this is going to be applying patches to LIRR, Class 33, Class 52, Pen Corridor, MP36, CN Oakville Sub, MP15, LIRR M3 & DB BR 363 plus adding support for the upcoming C40-8W.

Hopefully we will have patch notes soon.

Was really hoping they would have adressed the sound of the MSB 146.2 again

I wouldn't expect that to come in a small unannounced update, since it is listed on the roadmap and not that high in progression yet...

As far as I know it never left the roadmap.

They've mentioned on the live stream in the past that even a minor change results in a large download size meaning one of the reasons they are reluctant to issue small fixes one at a time. The large size is to do with (if memory serves right) effectively the build causing an area of code to be updated as oppose to it being very localised. Also from memory I think they said work is ongoing to address this to make the DLs smaller in future.

Well in the Update from the 5th November it was said the MSB DB 146.2 Sound was fixed, but nothing changed, so thats kinda what I am referring to.

oh no, not again. That was one update where apparently lots of people read "146.2" and "sound" in one sentence and made the rest up. It clearly said in that update that they tweaked some sound artefacts from the sound loop. That has nothing to do with the volume and reconfiguration of the locos' sound layers. And that made sense to me even though I am a super noob in regards to coding and programming. That update never had the intention to fix the sound issue that we experience ever since it was preserved.

This was the impression I got from reading the roadmap as well.

Well yes, but actually no. I think it said something like the artifacts were removed that made the sound loop extremely audible. And even that sound loop is still as audible as it was before that update, so there's that. Nice to see it being adressed still.

At least now the BR146.2 reaches 160km/h (although without AFB )
