On consoles, the button to acknowledge Sifa is the same button we have to use to acknowledge PZB. Can you please change the button to acknowledge sifa to avoid us having to hear the PZB sound every time the Sifa alarm comes up?

Nope. We are stuck with what we’re given.

Are there even enough buttons on the controller ?

There can be plenty if a button or two can be used as a sort of Shift Key to give other buttons a secondary function when held. I published a proposal and Matt Peddleston said he’d look into it, but nothing more has been said. The controller could definitely benefit from having a Shift Key style function.

PZB Can be a Hold, while Sifa can be a simple press of the button.

Agreed- we anyways won't feel much pain as PZB only really needs acknowledging at the starts and ends of routes

Especially on console where the 143, dostos, and the silver Talent 2, PZB acknowledge buttons have a stuttered, bugged high pitched buzzer sound. Unpleasant to the ear, that's why I don't use SIFA on those locos, it's a real shame.

You have my support. The only reason I‘m using a keyboard for German trains (on PS4) is having dedicated SIFA and PZB keys at my disposal.

Yeah. I've tried to use my keyboard with the game for PZB/Sifa (I only have a small PS4 chatpad), but it's difficult to use the Controller, Chatpad, and pay attention to the route and my notes all at once.

Yes, I also use keyboard just for that and also to use AFB more easily. One thing though- where does request to pass signal at danger go? Right now (at least for XB1) it is the holding of the B key. Since immersion doesn't have a dispatch menu (you have to use classic or tab key on keyboard) that means that you can't do things, like the Drag Line scenario on the GWE.

PZB on Square/X, Sifa on Circle/B, Contact Dispatcher is a Hold Circle/B.

There is nothing I know of besides the DTG Live screenshots that use the Square button. And even then, DTG Live is a hold while PZB would be a press.

With X you circle between the brakes

...or square for us Playstation folks. It‘s already got a tap and a hold functionality. To be honest, I have no idea what button you could use for dedicated SIFA/PZB Acknowledge, I just know that I‘d like to have it:)

Cool! I appreciate the effort you put into it, but I have to admit that I can‘t fully support either variant 1 or 2. In version 1 I‘m missing the horn (I‘m a huge fan of North American freight besides German stuff:)) and in version 2 I‘m missing the zoom function.

As I said, I have no constructive contribution to make to this matter as I simply can‘t fathom a way to seperate SIFA and PZB on controller with which I‘d be satisfied. But thank you for taking the time to come up with alternate key mappings!:)

I know... sadly with a controller there only so much you can do, ideally you would like the standard controller scheme for the US since you use the horn a lot but you only have only the Alerter, on the other hand on german routes (the only nation when this issues arises) you almost never use the horn, so I would rather use the keyboard for the horn and the controller for SIFA, instead of the other way around.

Or even better have the capability to map any function to any button like on PC...

I‘m with you on the 2 schemes. Most if not all European settings hardly use the horn (and thus don‘t need a key binding) while most American settings only have the alerter as a safety system (and thus you only need one safety systems key).
Custom key binding would be the best option for everyone around.

Maybe the sifa button can be the B button and the PZB button can be X for the Xbox Controller at least. The X button doesn't seem to do anything in the game when using the Xbox Controller

It doesn’t do anything if you are driving a train with only one brake, but lots of trains have more than one brake, and X on xbox cycles through all the types.

Maybe No live map and on B click and hold for PZB and Sifa, and the button next to menu (the one with two panes that you use to get the live map) for request for SPAD thing. In the pause menu a new feature is added which starts moving the train again, and when done with the live map you exit to the pause menu.

I like this, SIFA on the B button and PZB instead of the map... we can access it via the menu anyway

I agree. I never really use the live map much anyway. With some luck, someone from DTG will see this suggestion.
