We most likely wont get just SP 9010 by itself, as where it actually runs (Niles Canyon) isn't officially in game (But is a workshop route) If the ML4000 were to come to TS20XX, it would have to be in the 60's, with both variants of the locomotive, the 6 Carbody types (The Original 3, plus the Ex-DRGW ones) and the 15 hood unit versions (Including SP9010). Only thing is what numbers to add to the game, the Pre-1965 numbers (9000-9017,9021-9023) or post-1965 numbering (9100-9120) Also Luk Rail was working on this at one point, but they seems to have stopped working on anything atm. Also this was talked about earlier this year too:https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/sp-d-rgw-krauss-maffei-ml4000-diesel-hydraulic.20902/
I am a huge fan of rare and unique American diesels. The ML4000 is an interesting idea. I'd buy this pack. The pack needs both the SP and D&RGW versions, plus some new 1960s-era freight cars. Perhaps we could get a new SP or Rio Grande route that includes the ML4000.
I agree with you that we should get both variants of the locomotive. I could not find a video with the other locomotive.
I could see a nice DTM build stemming from this, the fact that 9010 is preserved and operable means sounds and cab pics wouldn't be the hardest thing in the world anymore.
