The ML4000 is a Diesel Hydraulic locomotive built by German manufacturer Krauss-Maffei in the 1960s. The engines had 2 prime movers and produced 3540 HP. In the US, only the SP and D&RGW purchased these engines. There were two versions: a cab-unit with a body similar to an EMD F-unit, and a hood-unit (like an SD40-2). The ML4000s were not very successful, but one (SP 9010) was restored with one of its diesel engines. #9010 is operational at the Niles Canyon Railway in California. If this engine is made, the DLC pack should include both the SP and D&RGW locos, plus period rolling stock. This engine could be used on the D&RGW Soldier Summit route or maybe Cajon Pass. Perhaps the ML4000 could also be featured in a new SP 1960s route or maybe a Niles Canyon Railway route.

Defiantly an oddball locomotive, not to mention #9010 (Then 8799)was rebuilt as a camera car from the late 60's until the recent restoration. Would be interesting to see in TS2020, also the SP units would mostly likely have scenarios on Donner Pass too.

-Hopefully one day I can see #9010 in action in the near future. (Since Niles isn't that far of a drive from where I live.)

Another eventual freeware release that was canceled by LukRailAmerica because of the aforementioned idiot in the MK5000C post

LukRailAmerica was a third party freeware developer from about 3 years ago. He was incredibly talented, and could create almost anything out of another model with the right child objects (made by himself). One of his most well known achievements was the creation of an entire Talgo Set for the Amtrak Cascades (with a repainted F40 cabbage NPCU and an F59PHI) from the Amfleets. After a lot of small projects, including the MK5000C, a BC Rail G6FC, an Alco S-6, and even a NYC Mohawk. His next major project would be GO Transit, with a route and all the relevant locomotives, but all he ended up releasing was the MP40PH-3C. In one of the teaser videos of the route, a troll with no common sense decided to verbally abuse him, saying he was stupid and that his models didn’t work. (I think he actually was just a moron who didn’t read the instructions). Luk was also heavily criticized by this individual for using an older freeware model of the F40PH for the NPCU. In the end, he decided to leave the community, and has been inactive ever since.

The half-baked criticism can be found here, just look at the bottom-most comment:

Although after 2 years of inactivity, he posted a video of a new route he’s making, so there is a possibility that he is just dormant.
