    Hi there,

First of all, amazing that there is finally a train simulator on consoles!
The thing I noticed is that the frame rate is sometimes dreadfull on the Xbox One. Now this was expected, but will there come patches for this?

Not sure about the S and X model of the Xbox One.

Love to hear from you and hopefully more content to come!

    Kind regards,
    Tom

Do we know know what the frame rate is supposed to be on the console? I can't seem to find anything on that but I'm guessing it is capped at 30. I'm certainly curious about this.

The frame rate isn't too bad on my One X. I don't know for sure but it feels like the game will often be higher than 30fps. It even holds up really well during a blizzard or heavy rain.

The frame rate is fine most of the time on my Xbox One S but it drops when a HST or Freight service is moving nearby/approaching.

Surprised there's no staff here to advise on the frame rate issues...

It's a Saturday, like most of us they have the day off.

I don't agree mosko war. Runs pretty well on the One X but def still needs some optimising and improvements. I'm sure they can still do better than this, so here's hoping for updates and regular engagement with the community.

Same here. Also have a drop when I move in-cab view rapidly from left to right in the 166. Other than that (based on my limited play time) performance seems good on my S.

well we are talking about two consoles totally different in all mine is the first one that came out so I can deduce that the game seems very slow and poor quality I hope with time improve with patches like other games

I played on my original Xbox One and it's noticeably different. Much nicer on the One X. It's just a bit too graphically intense for the original Xbox I'd say... Sadly I'd recommend a One X. It's a great console!

Hey guys, Matt P just said on his own stream to turn off the Game DVR and Capture settings off on the base Xbox One to gain a few more frames back! Not sure how much of a difference it will make, but might be worth trying.

To do this follow these steps:
    • Go to Settings
    • Then Preferences
    • Select Broadcast & Capture
    • Untick the Allow Game Captures
Might be worth trying and seeing the results on the base Xbox One and One S.

Tried that tonight on Xbox one S and was still 1.5 minutes late into Ealing Broadway and that was with an emergency brake (ridiculous I know)

I noticed that even at 70mph, I’d only travelled 0.7 miles in one minute, I’m not a mathematician but that’s not physically possible, I should have gone just over a mile in that time at that speed.

I’ve also synced my watch and the clock is running fine, I understand however that there is more to it than that.

Still a little disappointed that with almost 90 comments on this thread that DTG have still not commented to say that they are looking at it. I know they will be but if they don’t provide some element of reassurance they may lose people.

A bit of communication is all I’m looking for, I am not stupid enough to expect an overnight fix, just let us know it’s in hand.
