Cl66 Brake System

Can anyone tell me how you switch from automatic to direct brakes and vice versa?

When I switch cabs, I sometimes get the direct brake applied and cannot switch to the auto brakes.

 

I believe it's the X (blue) button.

I prefer to use the auto brakes than the direct brakes in the CL66 and could not figure out how to switch between them

 

Thanks, i've been doing it "manually"

 

I wasn't sure when to use either the automatic or direct brake but just learned that the direct brake is used when driving the locomotive on it's own and the automatic brake is used when driving with wagons attached.

 

That is a good thing to know
