First and foremost well done for the excellent train sim, I recently discovered much to my dissapointment that we can only go as far as reading, I was really looking forward to heading to Cornwall in the game on PS5, going past St Austell, Truro etc, can we have an extension all the way to Penzance? This is one train line that needs it's full route to Cornwall

Whilst I and some others would love to see a extension to Penzance or a extension to gwe in general, dtg are not gonna do extensions anytime soon. They rather make more routes in different parts of Europe and North America and potentially other countries. I remember most reviewers who did a review for gwe ask or suggest a extension for the route when it came out 4 years ago but dtg had other plans

If it is a standalone version, it is difficult to extend the route to Penzance, but you can go to Bristol. There is a timetable on the Great West Express to Bristol.

ROFLOL at the OP. I would be happy to see the route reach Swindon (or Westbury if it went down the B&H).

Still too far. The average TSW route is between 40 and 50 miles, with 72 miles of the forthcoming Clinchfield probably the longest attempted. If you want to drive more of the GWML then you need to do it in one of the classic sims.

I think we will see a 70+ mile route soon. DTG do want to make longer routes as some of the criticisms of this game is that alot of the routes in the sim are too short

Well judging from the responses here there doesn't seem to be much hope it will happen,, is it not possible for fans to create routes or is it strictly the developers only that create the routes?

People creating routes, or significantly modifying routes is more the world of TSxxxx. Its one of the drawbacks of TSW over its predecessor. There are full GWE lines to Penzance in TSxxxx. The graphics aren’t as good but there’s a lot of rolling stock available (payware) and the scenario editor, once you have mastered it, will let you do lots of things. Its one thing TSW players miss when they ask for content in TSW, its often already there in TSxxxx including lengthy routes and also, in some cases, lines transformed into different eras. Some TSxxxx content, in particular that from Armstrong Powerhouse, not only looks and sounds good but also can be surprisingly complex. There’s also a huge amount of free content.

That would require an editor which isn't happening for many reasons

tallboy7648 AP isn’t cheap, but there are sales although the newest stuff generally isn’t included. TSxxxx can be incredibly cheap though when there are sales on Steam. Also, and I guess like others on the forum, I flight sim. The prices of flightsim content (I use Xplane) are approaching the $100 mark for aircraft. Train simulation, and even AP are cheap by comparison. Wherry Lines by AP is an excellent example of how good the old platform could be.

I still play ts2021 and I take advantage of the sales. TS2021 is still going strong in my opinion due to the overwhelming support of the community. You have a point though that Xplane is pretty expensive
