The Missing Link: Köln - Wuppertal (ice 2 And National Express Talent 2)

It is included in the suggestion already . It's under the 'Layers' section as it's already coming to the game. It will run the IC 31 service.

 

The BR 101 is commonly used on this Route so it would be perfect for IC Services

 

The DB BR 101 will be part of the route and will do IC services. What will be the maximum number of coaches for it to pull (without the cab car) as a whole train?

 

I believe 7 to 10 coaches

I hope this route will appear on the roadmaps soon. Besides, this is an excellent suggestion.

 

I agree and what will happen is actually this in-game it will simply become the new Main Spessart Bahn Aschaffenburg-Gemünden because of it's ability to use all German DLC Locomotives RRO RSN DB BR185 Red Deutsche Bahn MRCE BR185 Rapid Transit DB BR182 and Hamburg-Lübeck MRCE BR182 in addition to the DB BR146.2 DB BR204 & Rallion DB BR185. RRO DB BR363 with RSN Vossloh G6 alongside a future Shunter locomotive for Hamburg-Lübeck Toshiba HDB 800 will be found at Wuppertal Steinbeck & Köln Kalk Goods Yard assuming you own all the downloadable content extra locomotives.

 

Also, the DB BR 101 too, when it gets released.

I am excited about the DB BR 101, with the IC coaches. Besides, InterCity trains are usually 7 to 11 coaches long, depending on the route.

 

I just read this suggestion and all I have to say is that I lost control of my body and threw 30€ at my screen. Please make this route happen, DTG.

Excellent description of this route. 1000% definitely needs to be in Train Sim World 2. Also with the DB BR 101 (coming out soon), it would make a perfect layer (if possible). Keep up the good work.

 

DTG has no National Express Licenses, that’s why we got the 422 S-Bahn Train on RRO for the RB48

They don't yet . Though in all seriousness, the License might be a problem, but I guess they just didn't try for RRO as they already had the DB license and they chose to go the easy way. I hope they try and succeed to obtain a National Express license for this route (if they haven't already), but if this isn't possible they could still set it in the pre-National Express era. The reason I chose for the National Express (current) era is not only the ease of research, but also the paint scheme variety it would offer. I'm getting a bit bored of traffic red.

 

I would like to have the the option to choose between the normal red S Bahn and the Green S Bahn, and these liveries both belong to DB

 

There is no S-Bahn on this Line.
Its Solingen-Düsseldorf the S1

Solingen-Wuppertal is the S7 via Remscheid from Abellio with the Diesel Triebwagen

 

There is also the S Bahn between Hagen and Mönchengladbach, I think it goes along the route till Wuppertal Vohwinkel

 

but it’s Düsseldorf Hbf to Wuppertal like RE4 and RE13
RB48 and RE7 is Solingen Hbf to Wuppertal from the IC/ICE route

 

As the DB BR 101 does run on this route, does it always need to include the Cab Car with its train? Just curious, as the DB BR 101 is coming soon to Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr, without the Cab Car (sadly). (Still excited though.)

 

Not always. Sometimes the BR 101 comes as a push and pull Traction so the cab car isnt really necessary

 

Well DTG needs to have the License for Abellio, because the Trains used on the S7 is the Lint, owned by Abellio.

 

Abellio is owned by the Dutch Railways. The best idea for Dovetail games is asking The Dutch Railways to use its own brands including operating divisions like Abellio for United Kingdom and Germany future routes and in the UK Deutsche Bahn owns Arriva Trains & DB Schenker UK. That should mean RWB S7 Oberhausen-Arnhem Railway ET425 and Great Eastern main line London Liverpool Street to Norwich. followed by West Anglia Mainline London Liverpool Street to Cambridge.

 

Licencing is wired, because TSW is only a game, but still I understand that most of the companies don't want to be in a train game but maybe DTG could add custom liveries that looks a little like the real livery, they also did it in GTA and many other games with fake cars for example that just look mostly like the real car

 

DTG has already said they won't do that. Personally I also wouldn't like to see it. I just hope they can work out licensing with the companies.

Actually your right, I also want it as realistic as possible and it would be a bad idea, the only problem is, that it's really hard to get the license to use an livery, I don't know if DTG have written for example National Express if they can use their liverie, but I don't know

 

Well if the Route was set before 2015 or earlier, the BR 628 could be included for the old RB 47 thats now the S7

Correct but for Abellio DTG has to approach the parent company Dutch Railways because both companies share the same logo otherwise Dutch Railways will sue Dovetail Games for using the NS & Abellio logo without their permission. The side effect is that DTG loses their East Anglia routes for sister game train sim 21 & this route due to copyright infringement. Bonus for this route once the NS & Abellio licensing is obtained is bundling the DLC Abellio & NS trains for this German route and Dutch Network.

 

Actually the green livery belongs to the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr, and is used on all S-Bahn trains in their region regardless of operator. That in fact was why they adopted it: to return to uniformity

 

Except the S 5 &8, which are red and operated by DB 1440s(but rn, there are two single red 422s substituting for some broken 1440s), but all the Flirts and 422s on the other lines are Green by now.
Also many RB/RE Services have the Green livery Flirts, Like the RE 49, RB 40, or S9 which Drives in this Route from Vohwinkel to Wuppertal Hbf, and continues every hour to Hagen.

 

Spoiler: Not all S-Bahn Trains. The Only Livery that is used is on the S-Bahn Trains used for the S1 and S4

 

The rest of the S-Bahn Trains used on the S5, S6 and S68 are the unmodernized BR 422s.

So DTG please give us the route, it doesn't take long until Hamburg Lübeck is out so that you can plan the next German route

 

Did National Express completely replace the Dostos and the Br146 on the route?

 

If im correct they replaced the BR 425 on the RB 48 and the BR 110, 143 or 146 on the RE 7

 

111 was the Loco and Years before the 112

 

If they made this route, I would never end the game, this would be so cool!

 

Having played the BR 101 over the last few days, I think that the BR 101 layers in this route would be great (1 IC31 service in each direction every hour, around 18-24 full route length services). The BR 101 is great, and could have multiple stops on this route and it would allow us to cross the Hohenzollern bridge with the 101, which is just an iconic sight. This route has a lot to offer for those that want to see more 101 services!
