First route you can choose for is the High speed line Köln-Frankfurt https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/cologne-frankfurt-high-speed-line.27855/ Next we have got the Route Köln-Wuppertal https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/the-missing-link-köln-wuppertal-ice-2-and-national-express-talent-2.35861/ Another route you can choose for is the Old famous Eifelbahn that runs along the Eifel with very nice scenery and the Eifel is called the Vulcano Eifel, because there have been active Vulcanos many million years ago https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...s-eifel-route-cologne-messe-deutz-kall.24720/ https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/eifelbahn-cologne-trier-suggestion.38019/#post-293231 Another route that would be interesting for TSW would be the Berlin S Bahn, there are many lines so the Berlin S Bahn would never get boring The last route I will mention is the Köln-Koblenz route, it goes on the left Rheinside along Bonn and Remagen https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/west-rhine-koln-to-koblenz.32003/#post-288997 In my opinion I would firstly want to have the Route Köln-Wuppertal because for me this route would be a connection with the route SKA and RRO and many players want to have this route, but give me your opinion what route you would like to have or if you have another German route you really want to have in TSW
I know it´s a pipe dream but I´d love to see the route network of the Hohenzollerische Landesbahn in TSW 2. It has everything: it´s super-scenic encompassing the Danube Valley, Upper Swabia and the Hohenzollern lands, there is local freight traffic and various local RB and RE services. And the best thing: it´s a pure diesel network with a large variety of different loco-hauled trains and DMUs. If only...
To be honest, out of those options I’d like to see Frankfurt - Köln purely because of the 300km/h section. Köln - Wuppertal’s purpose is connecting SKA and RRO but not many services actually go from Aachen to Hagen or even Wuppertal directly so in my eyes it’d just be another Ruhr route. I’d mainly want to see routes around Hannover but that’s because of my personal bias.
Oberhausen Arnhem Railway because it's the link between the German Ruhr Valley and the Dutch Network at Arnhem. Provided Dovetail games actually makes Amsterdam Arnhem Railway then the Oberhausen-Arnhem Railway which leaves HRR Northeast of Duisburg Hbf. Basically permitting a player to operate Arnhem Duisburg then transfer to a Bochum bound train. Link to my suggestion is https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/crossing-borders-oberhausen-arnhem-railway.37139/
The BR 422 with Köln-Wuppertal might be a bit misleading since it isn't the loco that would be coming with the route. Otherwise, nice list . My personal preference would of course be Köln-Wuppertal, as it's my own suggestion, but all the other listed routes have something new and unique to offer to the game. Personally I'd like to see a '90s route like Saalfeld - Naumburg in the '90s or a steam route like the Preußische Ostbahn in the 1910s even more then the routes you listed, but neither of those is set in the current day.
I would love to see the Rheintalbahn, from Freiburg to Basel or the part from Mannheim to Karlsruhe. Both of them have much to explore: Mannheim Karlsruhe has a high speed line part and a part where only freight and regional trains operate. The high speed line is going from Mannheim to Wiesental, until then freight trains and the regional services (operated by BR425) are on another track. The part from Freiburg to Basel is also very cool: You have got a long tunnel (Katzenbergtunnel) and a old mountain route. Here you were able to see Dosto trains with Br146 and ICE’s, as well as IC and many many freight trains.
