Does anyone remember the code meanings - R5/01?

Do I have much faith in Rivet being able to do a scenic route? no, but it could be interesting depending on era.

Is there a difference between the Core Train Sim World 2 Update and Rush Hour?

Very excited about the new Cornwall route which I've been hoping for for a while, especially with the St Ives branch!

Question for the stream: TSW2 Update is listed separately from the TSW2 : Rush Hour item that has been added, I was assuming that Rush Hour was just the branding name of this year's release, and it would replace the generic TSW2 update item. If the two items are separate then what is the difference between them?

So we are looking at a British route set between 1951-1990, with both diesel electric and diesel hydraulic traction - interesting.

Will there be no MSB Audio Fix for this headache making noise (especially at higher speed) of the DB BR146?
Since TSW2 came out, i didn't drive this Loco.

I won't get that route or anything from rivet since they seem not to want to fix issues from older routes and lie to their customer's faces half the time.

Interesting to see an older period route.

I suspect it will be set in the 1970's and utilise the class 52 as it references diesel hydraulics.

The big question (for me at least) is what DMU will it include. Are we going to see the class 101 make another appearance or are we going to see something new? If set in the 1970's it should really come with a class 118 BRCW suburban or a class 122 bubble car or possibly a class 119 Gloucester RCW Cross Country or class 120 Swindon Cross Country DMU, although they were generally used on the longer branch lines I think but not exclusively. Class 101's would have been extremely rare visitors that far west in the 1970's. Laira had around five for a short period transferred from Scotland but they were quickly sent off to Cardiff.

Heck if the class 101 is rare, I wouldn't be surprised if they added to that route.

I think we both know the answer - you said yourself they would be rare, so you're saying there is a chance - if there is a 0.1% chance of a 101 appearing, theyll use that to justify it.

Same for me, I did not drive the BR 146.2 since summer just because the noise will kill your ears. I am hoping very much that it will be fixed

They did from around 1985-1987 ish, they were in chocolate and cream and were called Skippers. They were banished fairly quickly to the north east and they were found to be not suitable for the curves on the branch lines in Devon and Cornwall. I think the flanges on the wheels wore down quickly. If the route includes diesel hydraulics which the code seems to suggest if I have interpreted it properly then a class 142 would be unsuitable and we know what sticklers for realism the developers are!!

I dont know the location or the era, what can you tell us theorganist - Im guessing its a branchline to St Ives, Penzance to Truro is mainline right?

I am hopeful that the fact it is Rivit Games and not DTG then we might get something new, whether it will be suitable or not is another matter. However you might be correct and a class 101 two car set in 1980's blue and grey with a 1980's set number will be provided because someones uncles parrot thinks he spotted one there in 1976 whilst being deliriously drunk on west country scrumpy.

Luckily I have the perfectly acceptable Cornish Mainline from Plymouth for TS1 to use with the correct rolling stock.

However this route could potentially reinvigorate some waning interest in TSW.

I've heard that this new western England route is set between 1951 and 1990. I seriously hope this isn't an excuse to just reuse the 52 and 101 again. I don't have too much faith in Rivet after their past few releases...

Yes that is correct, Truro which is the county town of Cornwall (and has a very fine cathedral) is on the mainline from Plymouth. Penzance is the terminus. It is a nice route, pretty and quite interesting with quite a few hills although with modern trains that isn't really of interest. The St Ives branch serves one of the UK's most popular seaside resorts and it a very pretty but quite short branch line. It branches off the mainline at St Erth station.

Well the 52 will be fine if set in the period it was running. If they show a complete lack of research and include the class 101 again then I will completely give up on TSW. I have a feeling Rivit will maybe build something new.

It's 25 miles of mainline (I believe all 2-track) Penzance - Truro, plus a 4 mile branch to St Ives. At truro there's a line to Falmouth Docks but it's unclear if it'll be included (I imagine not).

Map from National Rail. Not to scale. Where I've put "to London", that should really be "to everywhere else in the UK"

We have the Falmouth branch line in TS classic, one of my favourite routes. THis will be interesting, but I'll wait for a big sale as I have little faith in Rivet now.

    Some comments:
    - Why is TrackIR not yet back at the roadmap? I thought it would come back soon?
    - There is a very annoying issue with setting directions correctly in the HUD. It covers signal staes, grade directions, open doors shown at the wrong side. This is really annoying and lots of people are confused and complain about this. Can we please have it at the roadmap with a high priority?

One comment: It would be awesome to have the Falmouth branch included in the new Rivet route. I have no idea if I will like it, would like to know in which time it will be set.and get some more info on the atmosphere. Though, I might have preferred another Swiss Route.

Also a question: Will Cane Creek arrive after all those TSG loco's? That would mean we have to wait till 2022 probably. This is OK, but it would give some room for my wallet.

It seems to have been quietly dropped from the MSB fixes:

And that's it for MSB. Nothing about sound at all.

Although it's used on HRR in real life, there are more routes, which would be appropriate for this loco. (RRO HBL) And hopefully one day we will see a long German IC route, where this loco is available, hopefully with cab car.

Of course am happy there is a new route that is being developed for the UK. But if this is an excuse to use the 52 and 101 in br blue pack so then they can say oh it's set in the correct time frame i won't be happy which that response.
