Good point but June 30th 2016 Class 800 entered service on GWE. The way it's going to work is Electric mode to Hayes and Harlington from London Paddington Station but diesel mode Hayes and Harlington all the way to reading. Inbound trips are diesel mode to Hayes and Harlington but Electric mode Hayes and Harlington to London Paddington
At some point, I want to see a fully electrified GWE with the class 800. I would pay good money for that. Plus, it is not a DLC for a DLC, it could be its own DLC like TS classic's Riviera Line and Riviera Line in the 50s.
I think that if this is added, then it would be like a bristol - exeter type route. What we all want is a GWE extension.
I do agree on that it would be lovely if we had another pack like Diesel Legands of the Great Western but modern day
The 800 will probably not come as a loco add-on for GWE (reasons for which have already been mentioned above), however on a new route, set in more recent times (like my Exeter - Plymouth/Paignton suggestion ) we might one day see an IET.
AIUI, the problem with the 800 series is that not only is a TOC license required for the livery, but Hitachi have trademarked the train itself so a license would be required from them as well. (DTG had to get a separate license from Deutsche Bahn for the ICE3, which is similarly trademarked)
