They have been saying that for sometime now Martin. Will it come out before TS2022 or will they just let it out "as is" faults and all.
I don't think so Peter, the person that did the signaling was the one sorting it out. I remember that he had commented on the signalling in a thread Peter but for the life of me I can't find it now, it appears to have been culled?
In theory if DTG have done an update to the route to correct the errors then those who already own it should also get an update to it.
I'm going to assume the Deluxe version will be a full merge of SWML and the West Wales line (from Swansea to Milford Haven / Pembroke Dock). Because who wouldn't want that, right?
Gets my vote, and seeing as my opinion is the only one that matters (to me) it should be a done deal. Seriously though if anyone did a complete Swansea to Milford Haven, Pembroke Dock and Fishguard then I'd be a very happy man.
Imagine the thrill of scooting past Trostre Works or the marvel of running around St Ishmael, with Carmarthen Bay on one side, cliffs on the other, as you approach Llanyfferi with Llansteffan Castle on the hill across the Tywi. Having to change ends at Carmarthen and then off to single-line challenges when heading off further west... people don't know what they're missing! Docks, industry, countryside, seaside, castles, pobl sy'n siarad Cymraeg, big towns, dinky towns and villages, what more do people want? Apart from the low frame rates of big cities, perhaps Still, I'm sure whatever actually gets released in the Deluxe edition will be ok too, s'bo!
^ This, this, absolutely this. Psshh, away with your negativity, soon as a competent route builder looks at all the things Aryffordd described above they'd be mad to realise they weren't onto a winner.
I think DTG have access to feedback from the community, that third parties won't have. Mostly third party routes reflect the developers favourite routes and locos, this is not a bad thing entirely. I don't think DTG have a 'build this' list for developers.
So you think DTG would read the comments on this Public forum but 3rd party devs would not see this? Why?
I would also like to know too. Did anyone manage to fix these sounds and the company that is professional can't?
Which sounds are you referring to? If it is the Cross City 323 then read this post https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/ts22-introducing-the-routes.45129/#post-371862
Exactly, the Class 323 sounds, I wrote this for that post, but I ended up sending it here. It was a disappointment, because from what I understood in his post, a correction of the sounds will not be included in the release version, with the same promise that they will fix it, but we are still waiting for some promises to be fulfilled until today, like TGV Reseau and more.
From the poll they had - they only get the vaguest notions from forums posts. But DTG have all the questions answered with percentages. And they aren't telling anyone.
What’s happening to Bossman Games Cotswold line. Could this be the Deluxe Version release? or maybe Ashford to Lille? Whatever it is we have not long to wait to find out!!!
I was gutted when this disappeared from their WIP page on their site, even worse as there was no reason offered to why it was removed.
I doubt either of those routes would be in the Deluxe Version as they would be third party DLC. I suspect it would be something done in house - maybe a combined Crewe - Holyhead route?
I reckon we'll get the deluxe route reveal on wednesday afternoon before the streams, followed by release this or next thursday afternoon. As I said on another thread, the deluxe route might be commuter focused in-fitting with this year's route theme.
Has Crewe to Holyhead been done already though? A re-release like that would hardly qualify as a Deluxe Route I wouldn't have thought.
I could support that. I'm hoping Peter has a crystal ball, tarot cards, witchdoctor bones and that his theory isn't an assumption at all..
Before North Wales Coastal was Crewe - Llandudno and the LLJ to Holyhead was a separate add-on And they disappeared with the removal of the Virgin brand If the route was re-released in an unbranded and full version I think a lot of people would be happy They did it with the South Wales Coastal so maybe it is North Wales turn?
Well I'd be happy, certainly. But it doesn't seem Deluxe enough - WCML South was, for all its faults, new and worthy of the label. A re-release doesn't feel like it fits, marketing-wise. It feels like a UB NWC would be a separate release, like the UB SWC was. I think DTG will surprise us!
If a NWC re-release was that straightforward it would have been done already. People would also expect to get the route for free like SWC. Therefore having potential customers already owning the deluxe route lowers its appeal. I think it would be something big, possibly of a network type, like in the UK the Dartford lines or Waterloo to Reading with branches. NWC might appear as a backdated route (with significant changes to justify a re-purchase) but might not classify as 'new'.
This looks good, hopefully we can get some miles into France and not just Strasbourg, but anyway even one station is nice.
Beat me to it. This could be an interesting Deluxe addition. Also, JUST posted in the TSC from a stream: Bloody friggin' confirmed. Though it could also be a unique route and something is still being hidden for Deluxe, no idea.
Want to address this point. The route today uses Avanti, I believe. I could see a route extension being added to the existing route to justify it as a new route, and use today's branding. Chester to Shrewsbury would be perfect, and then a route merge to Swansea can be done by Danny or someone else.
I would like to see that, enabling a complete drive from Swansea to Holyhead, but obtaining the TfW branding is the big hurdle there.
Transport for Wales are the main operator on the Crewe to Holyhead via Chester Route, Avanti WC have a far smaller presence.
And there we go... Bahnstrecke Strasbourg – Karlsruhe it is! https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/ts22-shortly-arriving-at-strasbourg.45858/
Of no real interest to me so I get to save a few quid this year at least.. Happy for those that wanted something along these lines though.
I'll just wait for the sale. That's what I always do. I have enough to work with for the time being as it is.
I was hoping for something with some steam in it, preferably on a UK route. The German stuff seems very popular at the moment. This might be the first year I don't buy the deluxe pack. Looks good for those who like it though.
Me too, though will wait until Christmas as it will be in the Steam sale and then you may also pick it up cheap with a cd key. TS2001 has been as low as £5.50 this summer and is on the September sale at DTG at the moment for £9.99. I believe TS2022 will be released next Thursday September 30th at 6pm GMT.
Do we know what it includes the core updates yet "new features if any" ? I see DTG were streaming and watch a little but the few min i was on it they never mention anything just wondered
To be honest, I don't think much will change. I heard something about reflections "now being in TS" and now wonder if that is something improved across all cases of water appearing in routes, so will have to see what that area near Victorville looks like on Cajon now. I thought it had reflections before. Maybe not. They'll probably continue to tout the Workshop tab. Which doesn't work. Chatham Main Line scenarios will not run because the Workshop tab thinks you don't own London-Gillingham, which is bundled with the full route. Meanwhile, Metropolitan Line just appears on virtually everything and needs to be fixed. So ignore their touting of a new and improved Workshop tab. It's likely garbage. Anything else, I'll be optimistic.
Just a reminder that TS2022 will be released today, sometime this afternoon. Keep an eye on DTGs SM channels
