About The Musashino Line is a railway line operated by the East Japan Railway Company (JR East). It links Tsurumi Station in Yokohama with Nishi-Funabashi Station in Chiba Prefecture, forming a 100.6 km unclosed loop around central Tokyo. Passenger operations are limited to the 71.8 km portion between Fuchūhommachi and Nishi-Funabashi; the Tsurumi to Fuchūhommachi portion, called the "Musashino South Line", is normally used only by freight trains. The line forms part of what JR East refers to as the "Tokyo Mega Loop" around Tokyo, consisting of the Keiyo Line, Musashino Line, Nambu Line, and Yokohama Line. Route Services Most services on the Musashino Line are local trains making all stops. Some trains continue through the Keiyō Line past Nishi-Funabashi to Tokyo, Minami-Funabashi or Kaihimmakuhari. Other services include: Musashino: services operated between Fuchūhommachi/Hachiōji and Ōmiya Shimōsa: services operated between Ōmiya and Nishi-Funabashi/Kaihimmakuhari Holiday Kaisoku Kamakura seasonal service between Minami-Koshigaya and Kamakura Burari Kamakura and Yokohama Bay Area seasonal service between Iwaki and Kamakura Burari Takao Sansaku seasonal service between Hitachi and Takao Rolling stock Passenger 209-500 Series Emu E231-0 Series EMU E231-900 Series Freight Class EF64 Class EF65 Class EF66 Class EF81 Class EF200 Class EF210 Class EH200 Class EH500 Class DE10 Class HD300 Conclusion This route would be an excellent addition to train sim word not only due to the high demand for a Japanese route but the use of both fright and passenger services.
Added to the Japanese master list. Would be great to have a route with both the 209s and freight locos.
Excellent idea however the route code would be JPCDKS-R7. Reason for that you have DE10 shunter HDB 300 hybrid EH500 EF81 EF210 dual voltage locomotives and DC EMU 231. JP Country code Japan if made C DC Electric D diesel Electric K Electric locomotive dual voltage S Hybrid Electric locomotive.
Adding a cab ride video between Nishi-Funabashi and Fuchūhommachi: And an EH500 on the line: I like this loco with its red-painted pantograph ends a lot - having it on routes alongside the 209-500/E231-0 would be a dream.
