you are wrong we are talking about something else, not the Harlem Line. The Harlem line is releasing tomorrow, we are talking about the update for the skybox. You got to read the message before properly responding.
This is a bad day, another one sadly. Not surprised they pulled the stream tonight, the comments would have been a mess. Feels like the whole game is going "off the rails". And now extra work, to make up for the previous work that wasn't done properly.
Come on, the postponement of a relatively minor set of updates for a day or two is hardly a disaster. Neither is the temporary and completely understandable hold on the celebratory stream a catastrophe. Some people are really overreacting. The world has bigger fish to fry right now.

It's amazing that when something goes wrong with the train painting app, it's all hands to the pump. Wish that urgency were applied to some of the important issues in the game.
Well as a PS5 user it automatically updated and I played a few hours until the problem was known well indeed past whe the problem was known. I lost all the liveries that I have made on my PS5. Which is a bummer, but I managed to download my save game from Tuesday night off the PSN. So I have those liveries back and have dropped down two AP levels oh well. But I will not be playing or streaming TSW untill they sort this problem out. and that also means downloading the Harlem line as well (all though it will be on the PS4 version of the game, and there I have LOVE loads of liveries).
Is this just on next gen, from what I've heard ps4 is fine and just loaded it up on my Xbox and all my custom liveries are still there? These are the ones i made myself.
Of course you're right, and the emoji was meant to show that I'm not totally serious. Still, I do sometimes think that more attention is paid to those aspects of the game I personally value less than actual simulation features. But, if creating colorful liveries is important to you, then you have my deep and heartfelt sympathy. I hope all your liveries are returned to you promptly.
I only really use livery designer and scenario planner to be fair. I’ve only started using timetable mode recently on the rush hour routes where the ai is a bit more numerous and I rarely play the scenarios unless they have something interesting happening in them.
Well, for me, anyway, having the correct assortment of liveries (or a plausible imitation) on a route IS part of the simulation aspect. NO real-life freight train in America runs with nothing but CSX or Union Pacific branded cars; having a realistic potpourri, via LD and CC, is IMO very much part of simulation.
Another PS5 user here . I played it for an hour this afternoon after it was automatically updated . I did notice that while playing Londoner n Commuter a lot of the trains had two or three different liveries on the same train . I assume that is because of this update and not a problem before ?
I’m more disappointed the streams been pulled. Please don’t subject us to another hour long apology stream, there’s no value in them as they’re becoming more consistent than actual successful releases Respectfully, what the hell is going on lately? This is frustratingly comedic now. I think we’re one more faux pas away from a community related fix this please checklist being created and 400 players offering to do QA for free to just get things back on track. I dread to think what internal pressures you guys are under as externally heads have been under water, in the red , behind the curve that long we’d have drowned twice over. This current state is such a shame . I crave a release that works on all 50 platforms, doesn’t impact saves, no red signal blockers, no crashes, decent fps and scenery etc etc. Please make sure steam is TSW redeeming feature this year
Well, I don't think it's overreacting to observe that DTG ought to be ashamed and embarrassed over this fiasco, and its knocking off the planned 5th Anniversary party simply needed punctuation. This is a teachable moment, or should be one. Somebody - I don't know Whobody, but Somebody - needs to go tearing through the QA department like Jesus through the moneychangers, overturned tables, whip and all. That department for far too long has been both a bottleneck for releases as well as an absolute sieve where it comes to bugs. But this? People, you had ONE JOB- to ensure that a little update - not a route, not a core overhaul, an itty-bitty patch - didn't break anything. You didn't have to do the original programming, and you didn't have to fix it, all you had to do was bloody notice it!!!! Meeting at 2 o'clock. No tea, no biscuits, but we'll leave a bottle of vodka and a revolver on the desk.
Agreed, QA really need there derrière handing to them with a handful of performance management plans and bi weekly manager reviews.
So the patch has just dropped on steam. Not gonna touch the game just yet until the all clear is given that we can safely join the game again.
It's safe on all platforms to play the game, however if you have custom made liveries, somehow these are either unreachable but not deleted or unreachable because they have been deleted, and they're trying to figure out what happened and why, that's what I understand from what Natalie said. People it's not the end of the world, you can still enjoy the game, let them get on with it. Personally I don't think it'll affect the release tomorrow, they could do a WCL and take it down after its gone on sale. They would've said something by now the update was released 10 hours ago.
Is the new skybox mode added in this latest update just a few while ago cause there is just been an update on the steam game? Did anyone see the new skybox in any of the route mention by Nat? Is it safe to open and load the game on steam?
Where exactly does the Skybox train run, from the name I would guess USA, but maybe UK, for sure no in Canada

How can any train run on all the trainset, most of them are even using the same tracks much less the security system, and now you would have people believe hat there is a train that not only can, but is actually run on all the trainset
Why bother with the sky, this is a train driving simulation, the sky except the way it is already show the weather as nothing to do with it Now if it had been a flight simulator then it would have been important
Believe it or not...there are actually alot of ppl out there (inc myself) who enjoy a nice looking sky. When you are looking out the front window for 30mins+; a bad looking sky (how it was previously) is quite noticeable and jarring. You may not care but I can tell you many do...and it seems DTG did as well. londonmidland did a great job with his sky mod, it improved the overall look of the game...and now the console players can enjoy it as well.
Yeh the new skybox is a massive improvement. The sky is an important part of the game in my opinion. Now if DTG can just add dynamic weather...

What a game changer finally london skybox is in, and it just make the route a little more enjoyable than before. So happy now just waiting for Dynamic Weather and Real Live time weather added to TSW 2.
I believe it’s partially fixed the ‘hurricane eye’ bug, where there would be a clear patch in the middle of the sky, if you’d look directly up with the camera. Other than that, it’s pretty much 1:1 with the mod.
Can anyone confirm that these update notes are accurate? I just fired up a service on SKA, and I don't see the static trains that are supposed to be there (I have the DLCs necessary) and the PIS does neither show line numbers nor correct destinations. It feels a bit like the patch notes do not correspond to the version of TSW that was actually published. DTG Natster ?
I don't backup TSW2 since I am on Steam and file validation would take care of any corruption issues, but, as with any other data I create or modify, I immediately backup any mods, profiles or .ini changes etc. Having lost 10,000 images in a computer and backup failure, I do in fact have multiple backups for any original data!
