It's in the creators interest to include Hastings into the game! There are already ALL the resources in the game and it wouldn't involve making any new trains or sounds apart from the station itself and the associated stops, unless they wanted to add the class 171 which does the deisel route from Ashford - Brighton, which would also be interesting. So whatever way you look at it, there is an opporutunity here. East Coastway - Most services are Hastings/Ore - Brighton, yet Hastings/Ore are not in the game. London Commuter - Southeastern services can be seen doing Charing X - Hastings. Trains that can be seen at Hastings: Class 375 (Already in game) Class 377 (Already in game) Class 387 (Already in game) Class 313 ((Already in game, a more rare occurance) Class 66 (Already in game) Class 171 (Not in game, however could be the marketing point of a potential route to Ashford) Many rail enthusiasts / train spotters can be seen at Hastings. There are new route opporunities and a great way to show off existing resources in the game as it all comes together, it would at least complete the East Coastway. Potential route opporuntities: Hastings - London Charing X Hastings - London Victoria Hastings/Ore - Brighton/Eastbourne (Complete the east coastway) Brighton - Ashford Intentional (via. Hastings) Many other relevant ideas and reasons here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/search/21491895/?q=hastings&o=relevance&c[node]=75 Thanks!
This already got suggested just a day or two ago, so not sure why we need another thread. https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...ge-with-new-locos-and-route-extensions.53282/ And no definitely not in the modern era, Needs to be back in the time of the Hastings Diesels (Class 201, 202, 203) as I will simply not buy another route that showcases Electrostars.
That would be nice with the Hastings Diesels. However if this was set in the modern era, it could be a Hastings to Ashford route with the Turbostar (171), the electrostars would be be there in the background only at Hastings and not be a main feature of this route. I didn't actually see that other thread, but my reasoning was a bit different to it.
I feel like it would make more sense as an extension or merger to east coastway which was quite popular despite the short length.
Eastbourne to Ashford via Hastings, set in modern times with a Class 171, or Hastings to Tonbridge, set in the late 70's/early 80's with a Class 201 and Class 33/2 would be most favourable in my view. Probably best to hold off on Southern region routes for a while though to give other areas of the UK rail network some appreciation.
Yes! Both of those in that order would perfectly and those who want to use the modern Hastings line could use the scenario editor to add electrostars
How about Hastings Line 1986 where these diesels co-existed with VEP CIG CEP 2EPB EMU (Classes 411 415 421 423). All of These can run Railtours on BML
I agree with you on that one and if you are born during those are TS22 vintage UK trains southern region British Railways. All of them have train simulator 2022 manuals when using TSW 2020 TSW 2 classic controls PS4 PS5 L1 L2 (Xbox Series X/S Xbox One) Throttle control Brakes PS5 PS4 R1 R2 (Xbox Series X/S & Xbox One) brakes
I live on the Hastings-Charing X line, and I really want to see it in TSW2. My earliest memory of it was around 1997/98 and when the slam doors were still operational. I am not sure what train it was as I am part of the minority who play the game but not a train enthusiast. From what I do remember, I think it was red, white, blue with black strips at the front (memory might not be accurate), and then I think it changed to white and yellow and operated by Connex.
