Class 455/8 For the London Commuter. This would be a brilliant Loco DLC to have for Train Sim World 2 London Commuter as it will have different Varients of Trains instead of the Class 377/4 & Class 387/2, we would be able to drive the Class 455/8 Between London Victoria & Selhurst filling in places with around London. As they are going soon sadly it would be brilliant to see such an amazing train like the Class 455/8 to be in Train Sim World 2.
It wouldn't add any new services, only layering on over the existing Class 377 services, of which the ones that run into London Victoria would only be driven as far as Selhurst or Balham before the AI would have to take over if kept strictly accurate (they have run further to Purley in the past). DTG have said before they want to avoid this as it adds less new content in the form of additional services. Maybe as a later addition if we can get a SWT/SWR modified version too, but right now London Commuter needs a Class 700 the most. At least now having all the southern metro services run by the Class 377 wouldn't look too out-of-place given that the Class 455 is being retired in a couple of weeks time on these services.
So mabye Class 700 first then mabye a Class 455 so then new DLC for new services & new DLC to replace services
Yes, it would be best if we get a Class 455 for another route then layered back onto London Commuter as a bonus.
I was thinking of something similar to the South London Network like on Train Simulator, or the Sutton loop which would tie in nicely with a Thameslink route including London Bridge and London Blackfriars. Though to be honest I don't think we'll see another 3rd rail southern route for a while, and we don't seem to be getting many new pieces of rolling stock lately.
I had to look this train up and all I could see with my limited glance is another 313,314, earlier version of 377,387 etc etc. I personally can’t think of anything worse than another similar looking emu Class 700 would be nicer
Yes, it’d be great to add them. They’d need to get recordings and dimensions (or whatever they require) done ASAP though, considering they will be going by the end of May.
Ideally it would be good to have something like this in TSW (TS1 South London Network) with the 455, and extended to Caterham and Beckenham Junction. 455s operate Victoria to Epsom Downs via West Croydon (Victoria to Selhurst on the BML), Caterham to London Bridge via Streatham (Streaham Common to Purley on the BML), London Bridge to Beckenham Junction via Tulse Hill and London Bridge to Coulsdon Town via Forest Hill (Purley to East Croydon on the BML) You also have 377/6 operated services from Victoria to West Croydon via Crystal Palace, Caterham to London Bridge fast and London Bridge to Victoria via Crystal Palace.
Excellent point but if you are wondering I did have a suggestion on how to bring Class 700 and 455/8 into TSW2 it's a Rush Hour train pack made up of Boston-Providence Avelia Liberty HSP-46 Riesa-Dresden DB BR411 ICE-T DB BR146.0 BML 700 455/8
