Thrilled to see the R6 code for the German route. 1990s isn't all that vintage, but at least it's slightly vintage! Orientrot locos, maybe an Einheits, and, if early enough, even Bundesbahn branding.

The 3 in TSW3 not only refers to the version number, but also the number of countries where you will most likely see DLC from :D

Are you planning any changes to make TSW3 fully compatible with the Steam Deck controller?

Rivet Games, Skyhook Games, Just Trains & Train Sim Germany are all working on new routes that all come with new trains, though they are only focused on electric and diesel traction.

That sentence sounds really nice, so many new routes are being worked on.

I apologise for not really adding anything to the conversation at hand, but I had a good chuckle when I read “ATS has joined the partner programme”.

The toxicity that guy has spouted at DTG & TSW.

Anyway, liking the look of new UI updates (praise the lord for the loco selection UI).

Good batch of new UK stuff coming and finally some loco DLC has surfaced. (New trains pls?)

I have a slight inclination that one of the new routes will include a HST…

I was hoping the new us loco Dlc would be the Hsp46 locomotive with bilevel coach’s for the Boston sprinter route.

    Unlikely.
    1) Because DTG would have no access to the prototype, currently undergoing testing, and
    2) Because it's pig-ugly.

The new US loco would be all electric traction, i highly doubt if it's the hsp46 since it's a Diesel-electric locomotive.

The code refers to the time setting of the simulation, not necessarily when the thing was built. The Class 66 is pre-2011 too! It would be set in the contemporary (7) period because Boston Sprinter is set in the contemporary period. Assume modern-era livery as opposed to the old Type V.

Could someone from DTG confirm whether the German route is being built by DTG or a Third Party?

I just would like to know if that is the already leaked route (and just with a wrong code) or a different one.

For our eyes, it might looks ugly, but from aerodynamic wise, it's beautiful i guess. Hahaha, cheers.

It would look much better both to our eyes AND to aerodynamics if the driving coaches and the rest of the train actually had the same profile.

Nothing of interest in this Roadmap, nothing to gain (except for the Class 43 in LD, but that's all).

By DTG. Listed in the DTG column of the Roadmap. The leaked Niddertalbahn is 3rd-party, so this is not that.

Agreed, I thought they meant Thomson Interactive at first. You know, the other Alan Thomson. I never expected ATS to want to work on TSW (too proud?).

    Cheers

This is the first time possibly this year I've been excited about a roadmap. Two new modern British routes and the possibility of the Acela express? You have my attention DTG, although Rivet's last attempt at a British didn't go so well so let's hope they've learned some lessons.

Great to hear ATS are joining the list of third party developers, this can only be good news for the game.

Probably looking to increase income for his company, I guess the shoe really is on the other foot now.

Given AT’s previous opinion on DTG’s offerings, I very much look forward to see what he brings to the table.

First-party. It'd come under the Partner Developers section otherwise, like Rivet's upcoming route.

Well I think it's much more productive for both sides if they're working together. Hopefully it'll lead to good things.

Yeah he threw me out of his FB group for defending TSW which he described as an arcade game and owners of which were jokes. He won't be getting a penny of my money.
Really surprised DTG have let him join their program.

I watch Alan stream semi-regularly and have never seen him state that owners of TSW were "jokes". TSW was a glorified arcade game initially. It certainly wasn't a simulator..

If we get the same level of care, love, sweat and tears in their TSW dlc which we see in their TS work then you'll miss out on some fine work.

Based Upon some reasearch, The M8 was also built during this time. So speculation can also Expand to M8 Maybe SINCE its an AC Loco(But also DC), but either way the M8 was built Post 2011. But its likely going to be Acela

For the German route it might be Elbtalbahn 1990s with DR V60 DR Baureihe 230 or S-Bahn Rhein Main with DB Baureihe 420 423. Frankfurt am Main Koblenz with DB BR 120 110 103. Another possibility is Bebra Gerstungen Halle. US Locomotive might be Avelia Liberty HHP-8 or DM30AC LIRR

If it's have the capability to switch between different electrification system, e.g. from AC to DC, the Add-on code would be NKK-L7 01 because it's uses Multi-Current system. For reference to crack the code, you can use this thread.

I really hope the new preserved crew can really start making an impact on some of the long standing gameplay bugs and broken achievements etc as it unacceptable that some have been around for many years.

It about time DTG started to give these the priority they deserve.

What's the point if the m8 only stops at 5 stations between grand central and new rochelle whilst the express only stops at 1. It would be better to just make the new haven line in full itself rather than a dlc

What a cool roadmap! Tons of new content, quality of life improvements (especially being able to differentiate loco variants and stop/go via prompts at a glance) and new developers

Will definitely be watching today’s stream with great interest.

Rivet posted that on their Facebook it might be the route they’re developing:

Personally, I don't mind if we only get US loco dlcs for the foreseeable future, as long as they add something decent to the game.

It's probably a year from now for us who love freight stuffs to see a new US Freight route, since we've recently got Cajon Pass. The next US Routes would be a passenger route i suppose.

Correct and realistically it could be any of the 4 below

HHP-8 - last ran for Amtrak 2014 and is highly unlikely due to the limited lifespan, although would fit in for a future MARC version should a Washington area route ever be released.

AEM7 - an iconic locomotive along the NEC and ran up to 2016 and this would be my favoured option. We could have SEPTA & MARC liveries in future DLC's, also the model could form the basis for the ABB ALP-44 . Out of all 4 this is the one with most future selling potential and variety due to the fact how long they remained in service

Acela - Very limited future usage and only Amtrak services but given the gap in BS timetable and the popularity across the community perhaps the most likely.

Avelia Liberty - As with the Acela very limited variety available, but it is Amtraks pet project and they may have swung the pendalum in favour of this over the Acela depending on the terms of the license.

Why does the scenery have (almost) no textures? Is this our first look at a new route? Or if this is GWE, they‘re remastering it as part of an Elizabeth Line add-on?
