Train Sim World 3 Services & Scenarios In Which Gold Cannot Be Achieved

Since there is the new journey feature "Completed to Gold" in TSW 3,
I want to find as many services and scenarios as possible in which it is not possible to reach gold.

In TSW 2 I just went back and forth a few times to get the extra 30 points per 400m but I want to avoid this in TSW 3.
For this reason I have not transferred my TSW 2 progress to TSW 3.

I hope DTG will pay attention to this thread and gradually make it possible for us
to achieve "Completed to Gold" in all journeys and Gold in all services and scenarios.

My main focus is on "Completed to Gold", but I will of course include all other services & scenarios too.
If someone should find mistakes or would like to contribute, go ahead, the more the better.

I meant gathering the data, but I do agree that you should be able to complete it.

 

I don't specifically look for them, the few services are the ones I found while playing,
but I know for example that GWB has a lot of such services.

I have not been able to reach Gold on SEHS - 5J84. Gold requires 7200, I was able to only get 7190 - I didn't speed once and arrived at St. Pancras 5 seconds late (even though there is no published arrival time...).

 

Again, I have not been able to achieve higher than silver on any of the scheduled services for the class 66 on the new SEHS.

 

Added it in the first post, I was 2 minutes early and also got 7190 points.

A fudge for this is to reverse in the platform at ashford before you start and make sure you get 30 points before you head off the end of the platform towards STP. Not realistic I know but is a solution.

Pretty much all the 66 services and the vast majority of empty coaching stock moves on SEHS are ungoldable (made up word!) except the Hoo Yard shunting ones. The problem is the game thinks you can get 1000 points at each objective when in reality it’s either 500 or 750. And it’s annoying when you arrive a few mins early and get 6xx points and it turns out there is a time of arrival for you to aim at but it only displays when you arrive (normally says wait until xx:xx at the top). That’s what I’ve found playing SEHS anyway. Doesn’t affect the old routes as far as I’m aware.

This is exactly what I want to prevent in TSW 3, otherwise the problem will NEVER be fixed. DTG could edit little by little with future patches and that's it. After all, they have shown with the Santa Fe F7 and the BNSF locos that it can go fast if they want.
Also, the game should not consist of workarounds constantly and forever and should work properly at some point.

 

I was able to complete Y102 - Morning Bowl Switching with 9280 points, it's a little close but possible. Since the service only gives points that end with zero, but you are 15 points short, I assume that you were a bit too fast at some point. I have added the other services.

Contacting technical support will not give a lot of results, I have already repeatedly written to them about this while playing TSW 2. We still haven't solved the problem with the medals on the Bakerloo line, when I spent a lot of time going through all the scenarios. Then one day all my labors disappeared. The problem was never solved, so I decided to fix the situation myself by changing the points for the scripts manually. This is much faster than going through the scripts again. If anyone is interested, I can write how to fix the number of points for any scenario in the profile file of your game, without affecting the files and configuration of the game itself.

I am waiting for an answer from you whether you need this information or not .

 

This is annoying.
I thought i have done something wrong but after 4 retries i have also an issue with RSN and the scenario "Aufgewacht", guess in english its "wake up".
I have done everything according to the rules and guess with 4m 35s it was fast.
No overspeed penalty and so on.
My max score is there 749ap but for gold i need 750ap.... but cant achieve that.

 

I have found that all of the run around services at Bishops Lydeard are buggy, you can only score enough AP for a Bronze medal, I hope DTG fix all of these bugged scenarios and services, especially the WSR Bishops Lydeard run arounds

 

Are you talking about the scenario tasks or timetable?
I have all scenarios in gold with exception of MD5 Minehead to Bishops Lydeard which is in silver.
But i know that was my fault coz i was too fast in one place.

Tried this scenario 5 times and everytime i can reach only 1010AP.
My fastest time was 9:34 (allowed scenario max is over 12 min).
1200AP are necessary for gold.

DB 83126 is already listed above, 1010 points is right, you can't get more.

I have something else for you, in the scenario "Aufgewacht" (Rise and Shine) you have to stop very precisely and the 750 points are yours.

 

the problem is also in scenarios DB 83158 Laufach-Heigenbrucken.. same as in scenarios DB 83126... for gold you need 1200 points... to reach only 1010 points... also scenarios DB 83114, DB 83146, ....same problem...all freight routes Laufach-Heigenbrucken...

yea, this is frustrating to my OCD brain. I have all Gold medals in the route journeys for Cajun Pass except for the training modules. Despite scoring 1620 points in both, I am stuck at a silver medal because I completed them the day the game was released. Now I will be stuck at Silver. This causes two of the chapters to have a green check mark instead of a gold star and also just gives a green check mark for the whole Journey on Cajun Pass. Its not anything that prevents the game from working, but it is just annoying and I feel like it would be an easy fix to push out in an update.

 

I feel the same way, but DTG has shown with the Santa Fe F7 that points can be adjusted very quickly, they just have to want to.

you can add BCC HST runs 0E23, 5E23 & 0V84 to services with unobtainable golds! Can't even get silver on these 3 runs as the best score possible is 1550 and you need 1650 for silver and 1900 for gold

 

Add the 323 introduction from BCC to the list. Need 1800pts for gold and best I can manage is around 1600pts. I attempted it twice, did it perfectly each time
