Let's be honest, the BR 182 Dispolok instrument light textures need a little update from a texture artist. It's very noticeable on Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel - Würzburg where the new TSW3 lighting makes the textures look overly exposed, jagged, low-res, in general not good looking. But let's start out on Hauptstrecke Hamburg - Lübeck and compare all three variants under the same conditions. First off, we have the BR 182 MRCE, and I think it passes the test. The lit-up gauges look good, there are no backlit instrument labels, however. Next up is the BR 182 DB, and it too has acceptable instrument light textures. Notice the gauges have less intensity here, and the labels are backlit this time, but still smooth looking. Now, here's the problem child, the BR 182 Dispolok. Keep in mind this is still Hauptstrecke Hamburg - Lübeck. Notice how the backlit labels are showing artifacts. Up close: And here's the BR 182 Dispolok on Schnellfahrstrecke Kassel - Würzburg. There are quite obvious problems with the gauge lighting, the labels are really overexposed and jagged, also the illuminated annunciator lights for 85 and T are unreadable. To me it seems like there are two issues at work here, the first being the textures, and the other the new lighting system being overly bright on SKW. Out of the two the textures seem to be fixable. If you take a look at the BR 182 DB textures, they look much smoother. Copy/paste from DB to Dispolok possible? Anyhow, I thought I'd be more explicit by providing screenshots in a new thread to highlight that this problem still exists. Having searched the forum, I found at least 2 threads on this issue: Dispolok Br 182 Night Lighting, and Dispolok Br 182 Mfd Issues.
