You know what time it is - time for the final roadmap of 2022!

    https://profile.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/december-8th-festive-roadmap

TL;DR (too long; didn’t read) summary
A quick summary for those who don’t want to go through the whole article (although why you wouldn’t, we don’t know – there are copious festive puns). There are more details on all these points within the Roadmap article.
    • The Holiday Express – Runaway Elf Add-on releases next Tuesday, December 13th!
    • Find out how some of the assets we’ve made will help route-building in future
    • New US-themed route expansion pack added to Roadmap
    • New UK-themed route expansion pack added to Roadmap (developed by Rivet Games)
    • We’ve made good progress identifying Dispatcher/pathfinder improvements, both within the Core game and our American routes
    • Add-ons Manager will not release this side of Christmas
    • A post-release Bremen-Oldenburg patch is on its way to you (if you haven’t seen it already)
    • Class 20 and HST Livery Designer functionality are ‘development complete’, and ready to go into testing
    • Roadmap Live Stream tonight (Thursday December 8th), at 17:00 UTC
    [IMG]

For those who missed it last night, the live stream is here:

What's a "route expansion pack"? Is it more livalries and scenarios?

It'll be similar to the RHB Anniversary Pack Rivet released last year ;)

Great Rivet announces an expansion pack. My guesses: Falmouth branch or the IOW heritage line.

I have a question. I think we reported lots of issues with the TSW3 launch. How much progress is there to fix things? Also from previous routes, like Clinchfield or SMH there are a some very annoying bugs left, making service not completable. These are really severity 1 issues. I am ahhpy with the speed bugs are fixed for the new German route, but for all these routes the level of bug fixing is below what I would expect. People are angry about the XMAX DLC and I in a sense they are right with this criticism.

Pretty cool seeing all the technical details in developing escalators and lifts/elevators for TSW!

Bonus points if they find a way to play some music when riding the lifts :D

Sooooo, nothing about the Peninsula Corridor timetables being borked since TSW 3?

So nothing about the fix for BML. seems this roadmap is for The Holiday Express and A post-release patch Bremen-Oldenburg.
The specials project team was hard at work building the holiday express. Don't want to sound negative but priorities........ would had rather them be hard at work fixing the issues. Please lets fix the issues. That should be priory number one....

Hopefully it’s a steam engine- but it could also be a diesel or DMU from that period I guess.

So, there is now 3 US dlcs on the roadmap, curious on what the route enhancement pack is. But it's too early to make any guesses, all we know is that it's Diesel Electric and modern...

Not quite as interesting roadmap as previous times (mainly focusing on the progress of certain aspects of the game, but there is a nice feature on the development of lifts and esculators for future routes). But I will comment on the two newly added expansions:
    • For the US one that DTG is making, I would say it's for Cajon Pass, however I wouldn't rule out it being for Sherman Hill, especially as it gives a good excuse to go and complete Track 3 in all it's glory. It also means DTG will start 2023 with 3 US add-ons (1 route, 1 loco and an expansion).
    • The UK one from Rivet does get me excited as it seems to be a steam add-on. Great to see that someone is going to give us some more steam add-ons after Liverpool-Crewe and to be honest, I can't see this being anything else of than the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. Which would be interesting as 1. What loco they would go for there and 2. With Isle Of Wight route they chose to give it too (The original route or the update one that came with the Class 484, or both). But only time will tell if it actually will be that or something else entirely.

Ah thank you. So it wouldn't necessary be an extension to a route then

If it is the Isle of Wight steam railway hopefully it will be more then one loco and for one of then to be W24 Calbourne (the lovco in the picture)

I'm afraid to make a mistake, but it can be assumed that the NDD-E7 may be an extension of the Peninsula Corridor: San Francisco - San Jose! Is that Gilroy? It's great if it's true. They can restore the long-awaited order on the route when it is expanded and bring it to new standards!

My expectation is that the extension from Rivet is a branch to Falmouth and an improvement on the entire West Cornwall route

It'll either be a route extension or a loco addon with a route extension included with the loco ;)

Nice insight in the escallators/elevators. Curious to see them appear in game, but I'll skip the christmass special, thank you :)

Hmm don't know I would have thought an Ivatt would be too big for the IOW steam railway but it would be nice a nice addition to see that will be layered into other routes though especially SoS

The island does own two ivatt m2 tanks 41298 and 41313 and a tender ivatt 46447 that's on lorn at the east summer set. They have had some changes done to run on the railway chimney cut down and both tanks are fitted with Airpump to pull the trains

That would be a different code because it uses diesel and third-rail power.

They’ve got a few 2mt’s. It would go great on the SOS local services instead of the jubilee.

EDIT: D.heal has just confirmed- thanks d

You are expecting too much lol. They aren't going to extend routes or improve an entire route. It's only an expansion pack, not a route dlc.

It's probably going to be only 1. Steam locomotives take a while to make from the actual 3d art to the sounds, physics, simulation and timetable, scenarios, etc. And rivet is a much smaller team than dtg so it would take even longer.

The Rivet expansion pack does not mention any new models of train and therefore will be using a steam train from SoS on another existing route. Cross referencing the rest of the code should give hints as to which one it will be. A big Christmas pudding to the first person to guess correctly.

The iwsr is not a long line is 5 and half miles long and in a timetable one train is only 5 around trips on the blue timetable and the yard at Havenstreet will be dead empty.

I really hope (NDD E7 01 is diesel electric expansion 2011+) is a P32AC-DM with shoreliner coaches. Hopefully with a route expansion, we get either the Hudson or New Haven Lines

Oh really? Didn't know what, then again it was 2008 when I last visited the IOW. Would be nice to see steam on the IOW route, was part of my favourite things to do on the TSC version
