Quite an interesting road map but I was hoping we would see a few more routes on the roadmap but on reflection hopefully it shows that bug fixing has been prioritised.

The Glossop line is sounding very interesting, especially the guard scenario. The 700 is looking lovely and I am very much looking forward to that. I love that the class 33 is getting a railtour layer as I think it is one of the best diesels in the sim but wasted on WSR. I personally, don't see why they are adding this "Cross Country" layer to SEHS, they weren't running there by the time the route is set, they would not have been using class 47's in rail blue with rakes of non-airconditioned mark 2's on cross country services since the 1980's (if not the 70's), for me it is pointless and a bit like the layers on WCL, however it is only one in each direction so not a big issue.

The MML update is looking good of course and I am excited for the NYT update and it will be good to see the other patches.

I thought the Rivet update wasn't that interesting to be honest, although the update to Arosa might be enough for me to finally purchase that route.

Glad to see the New York to Trenton route timetable update going along well.

Still hoping at some point someone goes back and fixes the UP Heritage Unit pack though.....

Yes I did forget to mention the inclusion of a diesel railtour for SEHS is great especially with 33s!

    GSM-R hopefully.
    Rainbow nope.

    2. Idk if the 700 has an auto voltage change but it may be added
    3. Scenario planner
    4. should be
    5. Glossop line should be late june as said on roadmap, 700 maybe july
    6. they didn't for the 387 so I doubt they would for the 700 tbh
    7. the week before the release I would assume

That looks good! I'm in England now not far away from Manchester so I will visit the Glosupline in real life..... I'm Dutch and I love to see England by train for the first time and I can say it's fun to drive around and see all the lovely stations here.

Guard Mode - interesting. Patches instead of too many DLC-releases - finally. Glossp line an d class 700 - sound very nice.

All in all an interesting new roadmap.

Solid roadmap, crazy excited for NYT update. I probably won’t play guard mode a whole lot but it’s cool that it’s a feature for the folks that want it.

It’ll also start a good feedback loop on guarding to see what people like/don’t like, how they use the mode, how they want to use the mode, etc. I don’t think it’s necessarily for me, but I’ll definitely try it out.

edit: I guess it’s a guard scenario, so not timetable? In any case, still a good way for DTG to start fishing for feedback on this playstyle I guess. Maybe we’ll see more of it.

Bit of feedback on the new format of the roadmap itself: I'm finding myself wishing the long interviews/Q & As/hypes would be put in separate dedicated articles that can be linked to for those interested in the particular subject. This was the most extreme one yet, with several long interruptions that required lots of skimming and scrolling to find the roadmappy stuff again. That's not a reflection on the interest level of the topics, just the fact that well over half of the current roadmap is something other than roadmap.

At the end of the roadmap on Rivet, JD covered what they were doing, but there was no mention of them working on resolving the outstanding issues on EDI - GLA. Sorry to bang on, on this but could we have confirmation of the outstanding issues are going to be addressed or is it being put to the side as they move onto their next project? The later would be very disappointing.

Watching through the roadmap now and I didn't hear them mention it. They said there would be future updates on the 700 in the next roadmap

Probably a much more logical idea for the service if possible.

From what I've seen, CSAO ME-2 uses a Wide Vision style caboose, which we don't have in game right now.

    ME2-08182017e.jpg

There are 2 styles of cabooses in Hyndman. They are a bay window and a center copula style.
    IMG_1081_10.jpg

Conrail had cabooses similar to the 2 in Hyndman, but they owned no "Santa Fe" style ones like the Clinchfield had.

    cr18719.jpg

Of course these cabooses would have to be in a generic blue paint, as DTG still doesn't have a Conrail license from the CSAO.

NYT is really looking good. The addition of freight that is more than static is great, being able to control them would provide a neat little break from what is looking to be a very active passenger time table but just having them rolling around as a pleasant AI surprise will be cool to see too. Especially with the chance to see both CSX and NS engines (although I pray someone will figure out a mod to manually set their liveries so conrail paint can be used) as well as the wide variety of freight cars that seem to have a chance to show up. Definitely think I will start playing NYT assuming all these changes proceed as planned/expected and we get a fix for the pentagraphs not wanting to stay up. Keep up the good work!

Pretty good roadmap this month, I’m yet to catch up on the stream but will do so tomorrow.

Glad to see the feedback has been taken on for the Trenton route (timetable)

looking like an interesting add-on for the 700, but BML is it’s red flag for me.

Now that the ability to perform guard duties is at least partially implemented will we soon see a guard mode…

43 livery editor (GWE) due at the end of the month, but that was also said for the last roadmap so will wait an see if it does finally get to come through or pushed back again.

After reading the article: Wow they pretty much sold me (with the 700) AGAIN an UK train I wasn't interested in
I can't reject so much gameplay just because everything is happening on the wrong side :)

Pretty cool to see how much action is then packed into SEHS - hopefully this spreads to other big(ish) routes, too

Will watch the stream recording in the course of the day

Really happy they are focusing on patches and improvements. The upgrades to NYT and MML now make them a viable purchase.

You can feel the passion oozing out of the article write-up. Why are these individuals not allowed a little extra time before release to work their magic instead of being pulled back post-release to salvage it from the backlash?

Some amazing stuff on the roadmap (imo)!

Guarding mode will open lot of possibilities in the future, makes the line bit more interesting too now!
Class 700 looking amazing! Love that we get the new boards on SEHS too, immersion!
Happy about all the patches that are coming today, lot to look forward too!
JT pic looks amazing! UK version of TSG, looking forward to that one tbf :D
I love how much SHG loves their MML! They are still trying to make it better and better, luckily!
New railtour services for SEHS cool too! SEHS is one of the most fun UK routes (imo) that theres out there, lot to do and different kind of services!

In general very pleased with the fixes and features that we saw on the roadmap!

There are some who will never find anything positive to say. A guard mode has been mentioned on here quite a few times, whilst I wouldn't say it was the most requested feature, I don't think it would be unpopular.

I don't have any of the DLCs from today's patch notes. Why Steam downloading 8,7 GB update? What exactly updating if there is no files with those DLCs on my side? Just curious.

Well, since the update has gone live today, I can finally talk about what this route this German Loco Add-On is going to here.

…and to give you a clue, it's a existing route set in the east of Germany (and one of the more popular ones at that).

Some of the updates are classed as 'Core' updates, which might explain why you've received an update.

Regarding the ticket check, I'd recommend ditching the hint on the left, otherwise you'd just be checking if something there is on the ticket. Not much depth there. At the very least, make it toggleable, so we can test our knowledge of the route and service. Perhaps also monthly, weekly tickets, so there's variety of options.

Gutted the 700 isn’t coming to BML. Would have made the route feel much more real. Hopefully something will happen with it. So happy that the 33 is being added onto SEHS.

I believe it's been mentioned from the start of the 700 reveal that it wouldn't be coming to BML but maybe down the line when BML goes through a preservation update it maybe added in plus they have future proofed route with FLU boards being placed in SEHS

We'll aim to show this in the preview stream; I wouldn't expect that functionality for the Glossop Scenario though.

So, thank you very much for the Roadmap Update, Livestream and finally a big patch which is adressing a lot of issue, even if some still remain. I really hope that DTG and the 3rd parties will continue with the efforts of making TSW3 (2) a better game.

I'm only a bit confused their is no Patch for Niddertalbahn attached to this as the Developers told a few days after release they have fixes ready for it.

However, keep up the work of refining the content and bring us long awaited fixes.

I loved the Peak Forest tease in the stream! Apparently a third-party developer is creating something very exciting for the route according to Matt.
