I think June will be good. I just played the Sunnyside Up career scenario and was overall happy with the amount of AI traffic that was present, including LIRR. It helped to make the route feel more busy. As I was bringing a rescue train from Penn Station to Sunnyside, I began to think, the route is not so bad as I think it is and some of these small bugs don't get in the way of enjoying the route. The main goal is to just have fun and complete the scenario in my opinion. Any updates, patches or fixes are always welcome

I kinda wanna save the update for the roadmap, that is, if I can think of something to say. It's going well though.

It really is near time for another roadmap, isn't it? Time starts flying by as I get older, it seems.
I don't actually know how to tag other people but JD or Matt when will the June roadmap be? Is it planned for next week or sometime later into the month? If next week then it'll be on my birthweek so it'll be something to look forward to lol

...normally. There have been months where the roadmap comes in the second half of the month, though.

Roadmap will be next week. Some roadmaps had to be pushed back either from coming back from holiday, special events or important staff members are out on vacation or sick. It is usually the first Tuesday or Thursday of the month, forgot which day exactly.

Looking back at the articles, I do stand corrected. Most TSW3 roadmaps have been put out the first full-week Thursday of every month. There have been some exceptions but still within week 1 of the month. Am I really misremembering the 2021 TSW2 roadmaps as current regularly-scheduled ones or am I just that out-of-touch with what date it is on any given day (maybe a bit of both)?

Either way thank you for the correction and my apologies for being misinformed

Hey Joe would be great if you can make it to the next roadmap stream to go over all the hard work you have put in on NYT DLC

Hey DTG Matt I have a question about woodside station on NYT route. I know that on the NYT route right as you turn to woodside we are not able to continue to woodside station as is blocked. Is there scenery at woodside station.. The reason I ask is it possible to add LIRR passenger service from woodside station on the NYT DLC? Just curious.

No plans to make that player derivable no, the route is New York westbound only.

Understood. Was more of curiosity if is was possible since this hasn’t never been done before, same area playable in two different DLCs. But thank you for the quick response

I mentioned this earlier in the thread, the literal name of the DLC is Northeast Corridor: New York - Trenton, not Train Sim World 3: NJ Transit. I doubt DTG will build additional lines in a strictly digital DLC that's supposed to be focused on one route. I'm all for a NJ Transit game, but I don't see it happening in this particular DLC. Has DTG made whole route extensions for DLC US passenger routes in TSW?

darkwarrior#2896 is referring to the ACSES & ATCS tutorial for the Amtrak ACS-64, which has a station stop at Secaucus.
You can view it here, it's around the 11:18 mark.

It's not a timetable service, but it still makes a revenue stop at Secaucus. I concur with darkwarrior#2896 on it not making sense.
I understand it's for training purposes, but it's still weird considering the feedback they got from TSW 2020 on the inaccuracy of Amtrak serving Secaucus.

Boston-Providence does this for the ACS-64 tutorial as well, stopping at South Attleboro and Attleboro. Not a big deal considering it’s a tutorial and all.

There is also a freight layer if you own spg with subs from other freight routes. The consist seems to make a good use of substitution as well

At first I was happy that they would finally make a normal LIRR. But sadly they are talking about NYT.

I did ask Matt it there was any scenery in Woodside station so many we can do playable services to and from Penn which we have those services already in the LIRR but no where near the amount of services that NYT will have. Those services from woodside would come out around 12 to 14 minute services. He answered "No plans to make that player derivable no, the route is New York westbound only".

This is all wonderful news, but I'm a little sad to see no updates on a patch for the pantograph issue or the ongoing cab signaling nightmare.

Not sure if we should start a new thread and post here but I think we need to provide videos and/or pictures of all the issues we have on the NYT DLC so hopefully we can get those issues fixed with the new timetable update, Some of the issues are the Pantographs on AI trains, lights on the interior being off on all trains. No drivers shown on AI trains especially the ALP46s, Doors staying open on AI trains, I even so the Acela being affected. No marker lights/headlights on AI trains, PIS on AI trains, Signaling. I know there're other issues I failed to mentioned.

Panto patch is something being investigated (think we spoke about this in the stream . There are some signalling bits which have touched Boston too which we'll be investigating. Whether they'll be changed by the time the timetable improvements go out, I can't say though.

We also have the following since launch DTG JD, DTG Matt : lights on the interior being off on all trains during the day making it pitch black inside going through Penn station. No drivers shown on most AI trains especially the ALP46s, Doors staying open on AI trains including the Acela. No marker lights/headlights on AI trains. they remain off , PIS on all AI trains off or not showing any destinations , Signaling and safety issues . I know there're other issues I failed to mentioned. Please let us know if you guys need more examples

    I made a thread for glitches in TSW3 in general -> https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/photos-videos-of-errors-glitches-unplayable-services.65644/

I recently ran into a glitch with Keystone 649 where Acela 2164 blocks your path. It can be fixed by restarting the game. It's always weird when the AI gets "stuck" in boarding mode. It's like if a portion of the train platforms at a red signal, the whole train will begin the boarding process, even if over half of it doesn't platform. If it doesn't embed, you can view it here -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvHqDRFEbw4

DTG Matt, DTG JD below are some examples of the bugs on NYT. This is on XBox X but I have a PC also and is the same No AI drivers. Mostly happens on the NJT trains. Interior lighting off of the NJT during the day. They actually work at night. Tail lights stay off on all NJT

Thank you. We'll log them and review. Whether we'll be able to resolve for the new timetable, I'm not able to say at this stage, but - of course - it'd be good if we could.

Combine that with a 4th of July sale for those who don't already have the route, and I think you can sell a lot of copies and make some players happy during the holidays :)

Wouldn’t it be cool to eventually have loco pack 3 with the single level coaches and cab car, the comet and for fun a gg1 in Amtrak or prr livery.

I would love to run a gg1 on the nec

Well, the Steam Summer Sale runs across the Independence Day holiday (6/29 thru 7/13 ), so that half of your wish will likely be granted.

No point doing a GG1 without vintage lightweight coaches (which would be desirable with the Santa Fe F7 and any late-steam era passenger locos anyway.....)

Amtrak's GG1's pulled Amfleet cars in the 70's and NJT had a few until the early 80's. A " legends " pack might be fun, if they threw in some E60's and maybe an AEM- 7 or two.

Lets be honest, DTG isn't making a pack with 2-3 "NEW" locomotives.

Also I'm not a big fan of these types of packs, I heavily criticized the ATSF F7 pack and would criticize this especially if it was running next to modern ACS-64s and the Acela.

But yes, the GG1's did run with Amfleets.

GG1s in Amtrak colors are a travesty, like Joe Namath in a Rams uniform. Those were Pennsy locos.

Well, Amtrak couldn't produce new locos out of a hat. They had to take what Penn Central and other roads left behind. They had to make do until the SDP40F's, FP40H's and AEM-7's could take over.

They weren't the only railroad that ran these ex-Pennsy locos.
