Afternoon guys, I would like to know when will all the older route from TSW and TSW2 update patches going to be finally released ? Preservation Crew Adam had these all ready to be released at least a year ago, long before his departure to Skyhook. Isn't it about time all of these older routes got some love and attention too and brought up to date !!
Years ago we saw Matt take a trip to Virgin Trains to try a real-world simulator. The DTG blog post (https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/our-visit-to-virgin-trains) was posted in the TSW section. Were plans for a Virgin Trains DLC canceled when they lost their franchise?
The usual questions: I know I will not get answers, but I am asking: - Any news on the status of the gold medal issue? - When will the drivers logbook have release status? It is in beta for a very long time and seems to be forgotten. - Will there be patches for the Clinchfield gameplay issues? - Any progress on the promised Scenario Planner 2.0? You may want to answer this question however: Why are some switches manual and most of them automatic? The only difference that is visible is that the player cannot set automatic switches. It would be very helpful for scenario planner to have as many manual switches as possible.
For woodhead, if it's not on the roadmap, there are no plans for it. Dtg aren't going to make it just because you asked.
Sadly there are a few on here who see themselves as the unofficial DTG mouthpieces/moderators, instead of just keeping schtum and letting people have their say.
Well, the amount of backseat moderation can be annoying, but I gotta agree this particular topic doesn't seem like the right place to make route suggestions. :P
Some people don't read the thread titles. Many threads get dragged off-topic or spiral into a cess pit of argumentative nonsense. Each thread becomes a vehicle for an individuals own agenda. Sadly, Its how it is on here. Unfortunately, DTG don't help us, or themselves at times.
Unfortunately, those of us in the middle, as it were, have to run the gauntlet between the the DTG antagonists and the DTG apologists or wanabes. Sometimes I have to laugh or smile as with that above post, but it is aggravating at times.
My last point (no. 5) about Woodhead was a light hearted quip thats clearly shot right over the top of certain peeps heads. Though it’s true, I’m not getting any younger, especially after being on here!
Anyway, back on point. I would reiterate that I, and others, expect a progress report on the re-invention of NYT. It's due and owed.
i got a good one for u to please talk about because it needs to be talked about are u going to make the jump to unreal 5 and build a bigger memory bay that will take the biggest headache of them all the micro shutters and also focus on delivering routes and locos with less issues then this era so far as a og of tsw its time to start connecting more with the community just like it used to be around the start of tsw2
Hmm. About ue5 having no stutters, I get a bunch on The Bus by tml studios which uses ue5 so it's not really the cure to stutters.
Can we please get the roadmap at least one hour before the stream starts? Some people really want to read it.
Apologies. We wanted to get today's patch in your hands today, and that has meant that some of the information has had to be changed and amended. Think we're going live now.
just to clarify - where are you seeing these issues? If it's primarily on Steam routes, you might want to switch to automatic firing - you're running out of Steam (although the UI isn't great at telling you that). It's something we're looking at.
JD I would recommend working on website security, I was able to find the roadmap by simply changing the month in the url of the june roadmap
1. Any chance that sometimes we will see "remastered" versions of an old routes? Like Peninsula Corridor or LIRR with new more detailed environment, better sounds, textures, signaling, etc. 2. Does extremely shiny ground bug will be fixed? 3. How close you to implement "snow clouds off" option in game settings?
They are Armstrong Powerhouse sounds, with the DC gaps filled in with recordings taken by the team from a visit and other source material we could get.
Speaking of the JT Route is there a part of the route electrified either 25kv or 750v DC Third Rail. Class 700 has AP sounds.
okay then i dont think it sounds like annoying alarm on Ap's TSC Edition this is way to full on sorry to say oh so cant wait to move to cities in october and end my tsw era
tell me you've never been on or seen a video of a class 700 without telling us, you say you wont buy it yet you'll be on this forums begging for people to join your choo choo Tuesday streams. i have spoken. and yes the sounds are from AP, and the AP version sounds exactly like it.
so long, farewell, Auf weidersen, aduie, this isnt an airport you dont have to announce your departure
You may want to read the gumf about the 700. "For the sounds, a mix of sources have been vital to our efforts, including files from the detailed Armstrong Powerhouse soundset. The distinctive DC traction motors are my favourite, with an extra twist compared to older UK Desiros, the motor phase sound change happens at 28mph rather than 20, which makes it a handy notifier for your speed approaching the limit through the dense Medway towns!"
Oh wow, thanks JD, it was a steam loco and I do run manual firing, although the fireman still auto fires, but I understand that it's not functioning correctly. I do reduce the pressure near the end of runs, so that sounds likely, I'll resume and try again now.
Add me to the list of people looking for info on the impossible golds issue. Glossip is a fun route but unless you are doing a passenger service with stops you’re likely looking at a bronze at best. didn’t quite understand the light timetable for sehs vs full memory intensive timetable on Xbox. I’m on the series x. Which will I get?
With less populated version of the timetable what exactly do you lose in terms of layers and static stock?
Will the ny Trenton stream today be to showcase the route in its current state or will the new timetable be shown
Probably gonna be a lot of dispatching problems lol since it requires an update to it. But it's unlikely they will play the new timetable on nyt since it's a roadmap stream, not a preview.
