The scenario listed in the subject line above is an old RW2 scenario that I'd love to play. I've downloaded all the requirements for it and loaded it up on my current TSC install. The route it plays on is the WCML North route. Unfortunately the scenario, though it would load, would not run because either the route changed sometime in the past and now only the current version is available, or there are compatibility problems with an RW2 scenario running on TSC. If it's just a matter of having to run it on an older version of the game engine then I'll just buy a copy on Amazon. If, however, the route itself changed sometime between when UKTS_25580_Hunterston_Flasks came out (2012, I believe) and now, how can I get an older version of the route? Presumably only the current version is available.
There may be a way to fix the scenario, it may just be a simple case of opening it up on the scenario editor and checking the pathing, or it may be more involved I haven't had this issue with any scenarios so I'm not 100% sure. WCML-N got a revamp about a year or two after release, which added extra trackage and broke the oldest scenarios
Hmm, I thought I remembered a message a long time ago about a revamp; this confirms it. And no wonder it won't go anywhere! That leaves two options: get the older version of the route, or revamp the scenario for the new route. I never owned the older version of the route, was there by any chance a repository like UKTS that had older versions still online? The other option requires skills with the editor that I have in MSTS/ORTS, but not RW. Time to learn ... Thank you all who replied to my query!
Given that the old version of the route was overwritten by the new one, and that it was only ever distributed on Steam, there's no repository of it anywhere, unfortunately
