Hi All, Just tried playing scenario on above route and for the life of me I cannot get the destination display to show. On first scenario (Man to Hull) Hull should be already showing but mine is just a blank. Tried entering another destination and still nothing shows on the outside destination display? Had a go at a quick drive and same thing. There is nothing in the manual with regards to this and so reverted to a verify game files and problem still persists. Anyone have any ideas?
Doing a Verify Game Files is a bit over the top because one feature on one train does not work. That is like "a bulb does not work on my car - I will remove every bulb even though I can see they are working" It is easy in Steam to remove a single faulty item and replace it. Back to the problem - there is something wrong with the Destination System on this AP 158. I tried the scenario starting at Man Vic and the destination shows Manchester Airport - Trying to clear that and put something else did not work so I made a Free Roam scenario and tried again by putting a code and I got something different inside and out - It shows Manchester Oxford Road on the inside and Preston on the outside. Hi Peter, thanks for replying. The verify only took me about 10 mins to complete and have no issues with that. I can key in any of the supplied destination keys into system and the correct destination shows, but still showing blank on the outside destination box. Just tried unticking the route via Steam to uninstall route and then reinstalled and still same problem, will send ticket in on Mon. Re the problem you described, did you key in using the codes from the Huddersfield line or the AP ones, I do believe they are different. Regards
I used the codes in the Huddersfield Line manual as that is for the AP158 in the DTG folder. Maybe DTG printed the wrong codes? I know the verify can be quick but you might also affect any repaints you might have. If I have a problem with an addon that I got thru Steam I go in to the Steam Client Library > Right Click on Train Simulator and select Properties. Click on DLC and you will have a list of what is installed. Untick the DLC you want to remove. Delete the Folder in Assets then retick the DLC and the latest version will be downloaded.
Hi 390001, Thanks for your reply, This is interesting, would be great if a few other members who have the Huddersfield Line could check for us to see if they too have the same blank destination display on the front of the Class 158, before I send a ticket off to inform DTG. The more corroborating information the better. I didn't play this sim for several weeks and noticed an update when I fired up Steam the other day. Prior to this I know this unit on Huddersfield Line was displaying the destination as it should, it was the last route I drove and I certainly haven't done anything to alter it's state! Regards
Just tried mine again and the codes I key in correctly show up in the unit number but again blank outside, very strange this!
Just an update after submitting a ticket to DTG this morning re this issue of the destination blind. They wrote back saying that this issue has already been logged for further investigation thanks to previous player feedback etc. Maybe this will get fixed at a later date, or maybe not, we shall have to wait and see.
