Hi could someone please tell me what exactly is given as playable and AI on the ECML from MML? i want to know what i might get should i eventually upgrade to 9th gen. i imagine there are driveable class 158 services between Peterborough and Grantham.. but is there also any of the following?: AI at Grantham Platform 3 (Nottingham-Skegness services) AI at Newark Northgate Platform 3 (Newark Northgate-Lincoln) AI at Newark Flat Crossing (Nottingham/Newark Castle - Lincoln) AI at Doncaster Platform 5 (Doncaster - Lincoln/Sleaford via Gainsborough) -- Similar question for the Class 700, what AI is there for this? finally i see that Glossop Line adds some AI, what exactly is that? Is the Northern Class 323 used as AI at Doncaster Platform 6 for the Doncaster-Leeds local services? Or is it just used as static stock somewhere? any info is greatly appreciated!
in understand it's unrealistic, i'm just trying to establish exactly what the layers mean in practice, what is exactly included by having them.. plus given a choice of having a northern 323 operating that route as AI over nothing at all, i'm happy if they've used it. but ultimately all i want to know is what exactly the class 158, class 700 and class 323 layers are, because other than dtg saying they are there.. i don't actually know in detail how often/where the ai layers are here, that's what i would like to know
i imagine there are driveable class 158 services between Peterborough and Grantham.. but is there also any of the following?: Yes this is the only playable use for the 158. 1 service per hour in each direction. AI at Grantham Platform 3 (Nottingham-Skegness services) Yes AI at Newark Northgate Platform 3 (Newark Northgate-Lincoln) Yes AI at Newark Flat Crossing (Nottingham/Newark Castle - Lincoln) Yes AI at Doncaster Platform 5 (Doncaster - Lincoln/Sleaford via Gainsborough) Doncaster to Peterborough (also visible at Peterborough) -- Similar question for the Class 700, what AI is there for this? All Peterborough based services, these can only be seen at PBO and do not appear anywhere else on the route. finally i see that Glossop Line adds some AI, what exactly is that? Is the Northern Class 323 used as AI at Doncaster Platform 6 for the Doncaster-Leeds local services? Or is it just used as static stock somewhere? All seems to be at Doncaster, running the Outwood services, not seen them on PIS headed anywhere else yet, but they run both directions out of Doncaster. — Overall it’s quite a lively route, it’s hard to say what exactly comes out of certain stations as some PIS boards only show the next departure. You won’t be disappointed if you do go ahead and upgrade.
i saw that when it was posted, it was the actual specifics of what those layers were and where they appear i wanted to know
perfect thank you! This is exactly the info i was looking for. i'm thinking it's getting time to consider an upgrade soon to ps5.. and with this new ecml release being my local route that i'll spend 90%+ of my time on, maybe now is a good time to do so.. the amount of class 158 layers you've said there is impressive, so thanks for the info!
