Xbox Series X Crashes

Hej DTG Jan I found these below dependencies on my xbx after deinstalling most addons:
1) MML is causing the TSW4 startup CTD...
2)... and CTD on ECML
3) LIRR M3 addon is cause of NYTs OUT OF VIDEO MEMORY ctd whenever you start from Penn station (where there is LIRR layer train in vicinty).

MML IS NOT CAUSING ECML crash out seems like a coincidence for now EDIT: over some amount of GBs of addons everything start failing CORE IS BROKEN.

 

I’d agree with the third point but having removed all DLCs (and I have them all) I have the full ECML running fine with all associated addons (incl MML) with no CTDs. Having said that, I’m still adding in other DLCs for other routes (currently downloading items associated with Dresden-Riesa which I suspect will load the system heavily)

 

Yeah, that didn't impress me. I'm just happy the scenarios I completed in the past were showing as completed. When I made the move to TSW3 it carried over my XP but none of my scenario completion.

 

interesting, someone learn skyhook how to optimise, whys it always 3rd party content at fault

 

It did once content manager was released and the game never crashed. It just didn’t load the excessive DLC.

 

That’s my TSW plan for tonight literally derailed lol

 

Arosa is deleted. despite everything, the game crashes and returns to the Xbox home page. so this does not only come from this Add on

 

try taking mml off

 

I have decided until we get a fix for it im just gunna carry on playing tsw3 until then

 

I don't think it's any individual DLC causing issues, I think it's just TSW4 lacking optimization for larger amounts of DLC installed.

Arosa and MML were two out of the ten I removed and I still had the same issue. I think TSW4 gets overwhelmed upon initial load and just gives up unless it's physically closed out before it can crash.

 

no, it continues. I removed lirr M3, MML, and Arosa. the game still bugs. :-(
Return Dashboard Xbox .... in download game or in game with freedom scénario...

 

Yes, that seems very likely! Fortunately there were testing phases before putting it on the market...

ahhh okay, poor optimisation across the board it seems then, hope this is fixed ASAP

Indeed, it can't be specific, at least for these two as, for example, I don't have Arosa and I've yet to install MML as I want TSW 4 to work and not crash before taking the time to install all my remaining British and US routes/loco DLC - so frustrating it's unbelievable!

 

Alex and Jan have mentioned they are, Jan even collected Support Ticket numbers.

My guess is that the Add-On Manager for Xbox is going to get fast-tracked for release.

 

Same here, I feel your pain. I do hear that annoying like little audio cracked from time to time. If DTG stopped rushing out these routes like hotcakes and spent a little more time to polish the game, it would be a lot better. I'm sick and tired of all these unnecessary bugs in a new game..it's ridiculous! Every route has issues!..some glaring ones that never get fixed! I love this game, but sadly it will be my last TSW game. This stuff is getting old fast. One more thing, I just got Sherman Hill for the layers and checked out a service and what did I see? Floating poles with a cluster of missed placed poles ..and they went over the mainline almost touching the train!? I was done after that..cannot play any route without some immersion killing glitch or bug. Smh.

 

unfortunately for me, it's impossible to log in to open a ticket! password error, even though it is the correct one... in short...

 

Oh, I just assumed Add-On Manager was included with TSW4. If it's still yet to come, I hope it helps with the launch time, as like others have reported the launch time is now insanely long.

 

As of the July Roadmap it was still listed as in development along with one for PC. Granted that was the last Roadmap prior to TSW4 being announced, but the two-part Roadmap from August does not list anything about Add-On Manager in either post.

But the thing is how long is that gunna take cause there is alot of players on xbox who cant even play the game and nothing from dtg has been said today

 

I’m tending towards the volume rather than specific DLC theory. I’ve been adding DLCs gradually and now have everything except the US content and Arosaline installed. I’m finding the game will generally load if I do a console restart when switching between routes (especially those that require more horsepower).

When the routes are running, I’m very impressed by the quality (the full fat ECML is great), but, and trying not to rant, I’m on an Xbox X and should not be having to do this - sympathy with my 9th generation PS5 comrades who I recall had to go through a similar saga in the past.

 

I can’t remember how long it took them to find a solution im just playing tsw3 until they find a solution for us xbox series s and x players

 

I'm not sure about that because I uninstalled it too and it was still crashing.... but it would also randomly work as well

 

Occasionally it would load for me but then suddenly crash while in the midst of a journey but mostly it crashes on the loading screen as is the case for most other users. I would hope DTG would provide an update but so far it’s been more or less radio silence from them

So TSW 3 was a mess for PS5. TSW4 is unplayable on Xbox coz we can't get in to play it. I'll bet PC players really don't want 5 coz it's their turn next lol

The game currently can handle just abour 180gb of addons, over this l
amount works ill. NYT is ctd no matter if m3 is there or not... This is core issue not addon issue. Very badly tested...

 

Ok, my First Post on this Forum.
But I'm reading here since a few years.

I have around 50 addons. All of the German a few UK and a few US routes.

Only Had Problems by the First start after downloading all the addons.
After a few Crashes I empty the permanent Cache and than IT works.

Bakerloo, Lirr and the TGV Route ist Not installed, because I don't really Like them.
I have No Problems, ist loads normal and never have a Crash while in the Game.

I only Play timetable. Never scenarios.
Also I'm playing offline. Nothing from the creators Club is installed.

At the Moment I drive with the BR 101 on the Rheinstrecke. No Problems.

I'm on Xbox series x.

By the way I play in HD not 4k.
My old eyes don't See much difference. But better fps

because we, players, are trying to find the problem!!

Would it be nice to participate and provide updates on the progress of your research? I admit to being tired of your particular policy... since TSW2, that Xbox console, problems have still not been repaired! the players are more than disappointed with this treatment! we pay dearly for your games! I am seriously considering requesting a refund for TSW4 via Microsoft!

And that will be the end of the Train Sim World adventure for me... number 3 will be the last! as a reminder, some of us paid full price for your TSW4 game + the number of Add ons! The discontent is enormous! we wonder what the testing phases are for! select more Xbox series X players for your testing!! this could have been avoided with a real Alpha / Beta phase.

I'm tired of being taken for a wallet full of euros! while aside from that, you do not repair the problems of your previous TSW. worse, they are present on TSW4!!! (sound bug, graphics bug under the wagons, trophy validation bug, catastrophic motion blur, slowdown... the list goes on).

but releasing a new Train Sim World was financially more judicious than repairing your old TSWs....

I agree and tired of all these stupid bugs! For example, I have just bought horseshoe Curve and was shocked at the lack of effort on the route. Poor engine sounds, wrong ambient sounds to the area..this piss poor all around. I think TSW4 will be my last one unless they perform magic to fix these same old tiresome problems that still exist. I use Xbox series s.

yeah skyhook havent done well with us content, just like rivet at anything, most of the people in this thread applied to be beta testers on xbox and didnt get it, id love to know what the chosen xbox beta testers do? oh yes thats right, upload clips of the game to the official xbox club

 

Seem like big fail of XBX addon manager premiere... It cant handle more than half of legacy addons. It is unimaginable they didn't thoroughly check full addon configuration - which is obvious considering commonness of this issue. The most devoted part of user is the most neglected... But is seems legit as DTG is now targeting new plankton at first.

the silence of DTG is simply amazing...

We are not talking about a small graphical problem, but a serious problem, which prevents you from playing your game! a dearly paid game once again, for a catastrophic result!
I end up saying to myself that the TSW preview (Xbox) was the least worst! each new episode brings its share of increasingly serious problems.... and each episode returns with the problems of the previous one untreated! having a minimum of respect for customers, players, should be the basis of all video game companies, before thinking about "money" !!!

The promotion of the TSW4 game worked better than the resolution of existing bugs and the rapid handling of the one that prevents us from playing!

DTG, communicate with as much enthusiasm as for the sale of the TSW4 game please... it will be to your credit

I was not aware that addon manager was released yet I saw nothing in patch notes unless i missed it.

 

Unless it was apart of the game and they didn’t tell us

 

I believe it was mentioned in one of the streams that 4 would launch with add-on manager as part of the core on all platforms

 

So they made an announcement about the issue, and while the issue is one they told us in this thread, hopefully it should be fixed soon

 

What would you say is a good number of DLC’s stop it crashing

 

Yea I'm on Xbox One and the game crashed right from the load screen , which is the first time that's happened , FYI just happened today

 

yep.. Just think about those who pre-ordered Standard or got the game on release.. Waiting for a month, then downloading the game then all their TSW3 DLCs only for the game to unplayable.

I won't be surprised if people have left negative reveiws and/or enquired about a refund.. Hopefully it is fixed soon rather then later..
