Hi DTG, I have finally got all of my content over from TSW3. Been playing it since yesterday. Firstly I'm enjoying some of these new features, I like the volumetric fog, I like the new tracks, especially Antelope Valley and I like the new detail introduced to the sceneries. However I have had some issues since loading in my content yesterday. I have had multiple CTD's. I had two on launch that crashed back to the xbox UI whilst the splash screen was on with the music (The special edition red/yellow screen) I have had several crashes whilst loading in routes. I had a crash on London Commuter, The Doncaster Route and Trenton and a few others. Reloading the game seems to have fixed it so far, if I get anymore I will log them in this post. Some of the trains feel a bit quieter than before. Some of the newer trains feel very quiet and the ambience volume outside seems louder. On Antelope Valley the trains are deathly silent but im not sure if this is what they are like in real life. Is that correct? I've had quite a bit of stuttering on my routes. Does the XBOX series X need to build a shader cache on the first run through like PC? I have no passengers on my Trenton Route since the updated timetable. I've done one scenario and two timetable routes and have had no passengers. In NY Penn there were no passengers but lots of trains. And last but not least and I know its not a bug but, shadows seem to pop in more than ever and they are really distracting. Is there no way to address this? I thought it was better in TSW3 but it seems to have gotten worse. Its killing a beautiful looking sim for me. Is there no way you can load the whole route in first rather than streaming it? Anyway thought I'd feedback what ive found so far. Thanks for TSW4! Hello, thank you so much for the detailed feedback, and for sharing your thoughts on Train Sim World 4 - I'm glad you're enjoying it, and I am grateful for the constructive response whilst encountering the issues you've listed. Regarding crashing on Xbox, we're looking into this as a high priority, we believe it may occur with many add-ons installed all at once, so while we work on a solution an immediate workaround may be to play with only a select number of desired add-ons at one time. We've had feedback regarding audio, and recently shipped a patch for ECML that addressed audio for the 801 Azuma, however, I can log your issue with Antelope Valley sounds being fairly quiet. The micro-stutter caching should help reduce the frequency of the stuttering across all platforms, I'm not quite sure how the Xbox Series X handles the route loading compared to PC, but the premise of caching the route should function similarly. I'll raise the concern of passengers for Trenton not appearing since the timetable changes and see if this needs further investigation. Finally, on the shadows, I can ask our internal teams more about this, but I believe nothing would have changed as our core engine remains the same. Thank you again for the feedback, and for reporting on the issues, and we'll keep you informed of more when we have it. DTG Alex
Thanks Alex. I have posted this in the merged thread for the Xbox crashes so you can close this one if you like. Cheers again.
Thanks Alex, I would like mention though that since Tsw4's full release yesterday I haven't seen any passengers spawning on Peak Forest either.
All in cab train sounds/running sounds are to quiet in tsw4. Just did a Dosto run on Dresden its allot quiter than before. I used to have my tv volume on 8 now i need to put it in 20. But than the other sounds are to loud. please adjust the in train volumes to higher. It is not in balance with the rest.
I also have the exact same issue. 87 DLC content downloaded on Xbox Series X and it keeps crashing. Won't even get to the menu without crashing. Smh
Would you please log that I have every DLC available and installed and my game keeps crashing pre Main menu. I'm on the Xbox Series X. Please and thank you!
The game does not crash for everyone on Xbox.. so i guess its hard to reproduce. I for example running it on a Series X with 42 DLC installed and also CC liveries and scenarios. I started the game like 50 times meanwhile and NEVER had a single crash on Tsw4 on my Xbox yet. Im in Xbox Insiders programm, so using a slightly different build on the XB OS I assume. If this should matter at all on that particular issue.
Since the update TSW4 now loads up. Haven’t had time to play it yet, but before it only loaded offline. Thank you DTG for sorting this.
Hello, I'm glad it's working for you again, although I do want to share that you may still experience a crash to the menu on Xbox as the issue isn't completely resolved. We're still working hard on this, and we recommend if you do experience a crash, restart your console and open TSW4 again to see if that helps. Here's our Xbox Crashing Update thread: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/xbox-crashes-weekend-update.74409/
Thanks Alex. I’ll maybe cautiously try and upload a bit more of my DLC tonight and see how I go. Appreciate the updates.
2 days ago, purchased the Special Edition. Keeps crashing when I run the game. Reset the cache to my Xbox and power supply…keeps crashing. Uninstalled all but one of the DLC…keeps crashing. What more can I do? I’m able to open the game and start a job/objective but then it just crashes after a few seconds.
That’s strange. I know it’s had crashing issues in the past but I can run it on my series x no issues. Do you have two drives? Are you running either the sea gate expansion or a connected hard drive? Is your storage nearly full?
So I only have the basic routes plus Sherman Hill... I got on Sherman Hill, was setting up my train and while switching camera view to rear end of my train the game froze for a few seconds then kicked me to the home screen. It's fine this 3 times today alone (all my routes updated yesterday)
