What are the expected playable freight layers for San Bernardino? Will it include BNSF's manifest between Barstow and Kaiser Yard (L-CAL011 and L-CAL012) What about yard and local switching operations?

Aside from LATC as seen in the previews, will any AI Union Pacific trains layer into the route on their mainline in El Monte?

 

Will Xbox series S have the full-time table? I believe it should have a full and reduce timetable, similar to NYT and ecml, as it gives players the option if The hardware can support it.

 

Is the PFR class 104 still in development?

 

Will we see the new WCML rolling stock as AI on the Bakerloo Addon?

 

The new UI was shown yesterday and looks good. It's a grey and purple theme, a big upgrade from TSW3 and 4. It's now back to something similar to TSW 2020 and TSW2 from looks of things.

The whole real time map has a big revamp also. Looks alot better and badly needed.

Why is the new track shadows missing from the new Frankfurt-Fulda route? But it is on WCML and San Bernardino.

This feeds nicely into my question above, and already implies an answer: there is still no standardisation of route development from this point onwards.

Please tell me the track shadow draw-in will be implemented on all new first- and third-party routes, along with all other new features. There's absolutely no point announcing features that only then seem to be optional extras that developers can use if it suits them, rather than being mandatory for a consistent experience.

 

I do also hope that track shadows fix will include Frankfurt to Fulda (even it is missing from the list) as well as all upcomming routes. Great that another 5 DE routes will be fixed too! Including both BR 101 Expert home routes. Very positive surprise from DTG as they usualy do not care about older stuff.

Will the launch be delayed to add track shadows improvements to Frankfurt-Fulda?

 

Is there any news on the save game function or can the possibility of multiple save slots be explored? It seems baffling that games 20 years ago on PS2 have this feature.

Sometimes I save a run but want to play something different next time but can't save it as it overwrites the former.

 

Sorry to tag DTG Matt but it would be good to get an answer on these save game issues (slots, loss of objective data loading into a subsequent saved run) going forward. Thanks in advance.

 

I agree. I think it makes most sense for this to be part of the TSW6 release next year. Hopefully a few more routes are release which contain stock that runs through BNS this year, and I could then see a BCC extended (like SEHS) with two new loco's, and an extension out of New Street to two different locations (make the route 4 separate destinations out of BNS, like a cross).
That would be a hell of a route if as busy as BML though Birmingham.

I have seen in the screenshot of the DB Cargo Vectron that it is numbered 193 098. The number range of Vectrons operated by DB Cargo goes from 193 300 to 193 399. But with the modelled version (old buffer cover ["Pufferschürze"]) the number range is only between 193 300 to 193 359. Will this be corrected until release?

 

Will the locos that are layered into the West Coast Main Line, (class 377, Bakerloo rolling stock and class 710 in particular) also get the upgraded suspension? And if so, will that be backdated to their original routes?

 

Will we get 101 expert improved suspension before the 17th? I was doing the 101 Expert yesterday and I immediately turned it off as it already feel outdated without the bouncing.

On that note: How will you prevent DLC in the future from feeling outdated few weeks after release?

 

I really hope so. It would be so good so see a Class 390 at Glasgow Central.

They can still point the finger if the 101 expert was delivered too late. Not blaming anyone but it's poor planning from a customer's perspective. There are many factors that can be possibly blamed. Was the 101 announced too soon? It's for DTG to figure out I guess.

Matt said all the routes in TSW 5 would have it, including the Special Edition ones, so I was pretty sure Frankfurt-Fulda was just forgotten at the time of making the list.

1. How will the transfer from TSW4 PC editor to the TSW5 version work? (I know I asked this before, but this is a really important question!!!)
2. Will there be any masterclass streams or tutorials?
3. Will there be guides how to implement the new features into our routes/timetables/etc.? (As they are route-wise I guess we will have to implement them on our own)
4. How is the LONG-awaited update progressing?
5. Current situation of the PC editor? (still interested in the community making their own content, or is the editor something that isn´t relevant anymore?)

 

Will the 1972 Stock have suspension functionality as it is included with the WCML South?

Is there a 5-car Class 710 variant for the Watford DC?

 

Will we be able to see all AI services and which direction they are moving on the 2D Live Map when zoomed completely out?
I like to see the general activity of a route and what's going on when I jump into a service without having to zoom in, in a particular area to see the traffic/congestion.

So the big question for me is with regards to Portals (a FANTASTIC new addition and something that will completely change the game).

Question: What are the plans, thoughts, limitations on expanding this to allow an actual player service to transition through the portal? Is this a small feature addition, or would it create huge rework?

Does this excite the team and something they have already pinpointed at some point in the future?

Could this eventually be expanded to link routes together like networks, without the huge drain on hardware resources? I can imagine a situation similar to the changeover at Ebbsfleet on traction, but instead it loads the next part of the route.

Will there be any changes to how the external camerw works with tsw5? I use it to set the camera up at the front of the train (front nose view- essentially same as the cab view but without any of the cab blocking the scenery whilst driving), will this still be possible please? And hopefully not affected by tunnels and bridges?

Why is there no conductor mode for the Ice T? Would fit perfect on it in my opinion.

The 350 sounds were used for the 700.

 

They have not long turned around and said they won't be in the game which I think is a massive L because if you are going to promote modern timetable, modern livery etc, you need those two liveries in the 390 fleet

I don't want to see them now, come out later as a paid add-on, it's either include them day one or don't include them at all
