When watching the WCML preview yesterday, i noticed all stations and the class 350 were not LNWR branded but in the screenshots released at the announcement of TSW5 all stations and 350 were shown with LNWR branding.

Does anyone know if the licensing has been lost or just it wasnt yet in that version of the game that the preview was being played on?

The problem is only missing operator logos or also the livery of class 350 is different as it should be?

DTG lost the license, so all branding had to be removed.

It is a shame - I really like the zigzags of the LNWR livery. Oh well, at least they kept some of the diagonal lines.

Honestly the now unbranded version of that livery looks pretty poor. The LNR logo is too big to be missing.

I get it would have taken a little more work but considering we were advertised a branded model, it could have been a nice gesture and IMO would be much less noticeable that it’s unbranded. The Hybrid LNR/LM livery.

Thank you for direct comparison. Well, can’t deny that the real one looks class better and much more cool with both light green “stripes” and logo aplicated.

I’m sure that someone skilful is bringing the original livery via Creators club. I don’t understand how they could, but they can sometimes make some real-like liveries there (only usefull part of whole livery designer in my opinion) not just pink train with flowers on it.

For example here, the Railjet livery for Vectron. No idea how they implemented railjet logo.

We just have to hope DTG come to some sort of an arrangement in the coming months to get this decision reversed.

With the unbranded stock also on GWE, I'm worried that this may be a sign of things to come in the future.

I mean, they are adding unbranded class 387s to GWE, so it not like it's just the existing FGW stock that has no branding.

"Well, if players don't mind unbranded stock, we can just not bother with branding in future and save money on licensing."

I don’t think this will be a regular thing since with GWE it’s just a case of them not having a licence. Yet they still went ahead of this remaster maybe partly cause it has been widely requested for GWE to get an update in some way. And for the unbranded 484 it’s probably to do with how it’s not something TFL use. So I think they’ll only make unbranded content as a last resort thing

I like to think that you are right, and am really hoping that you are.

It's just that, well, you know how companies are always trying to save money.

If they knock £5 off the price, then I’m all for it.
£25 quid for a route is enough.

I'm not sure what the fuss is about with the lack of branding. Must be a local thing, people who are familiar with the route and these trains in RL.
Personally, I would prefer the game had no branding, or fictitious branding, but have much improved passenger simulation: much more variety of passengers (including children), luggage, passengers moving at different speeds, passengers making noise (talking on phones, to each other), listening to music over headphones, etc.

    More like this:

    and not like this:

I was driving on the Goblin line yesterday, and the "passengers getting off the wrong side of the AI train" bug happened, so I ended-up killing about 6 people who were standing on the tracks when my train approached the opposite platform.

You will never see children in-game for this reason.

So, let me get this right: the fact that the passenger behaviour is poorly implemented is a reason to have simple and poorly implemented passenger behaviour?
How about having correct passenger behaviour, including getting on and off the train correctly? Too much to ask?

And you didn't "kill" those passengers. I am certain they were still on the tracks after the train passed through them.
I just drove the Allegra on Bernina, and passed through a bunch of cars that did not care a train was crossing the road. They went right through the train, or the other way round. Perfectly acceptable simulation, by DTG/Rivet standards.

If this change happende right before the stream, there is a chance a modder might be able to ativate the tickbox like with the FGW livery on GWE.

There is a chance the branded gamefiles are still there (on pc)

Obviously you are not "killing" passengers in the actual sense, because it's just a game and they despawn after a set time.

My point is that your virtual train is seen to be hitting those virtual passengers, and you can guarantee that complaints will be made, leading to bad publicity for DTG.

So no, children aren't going to be in Train Sim World. It's never happening.

I'm not DTGs biggest fan etc but the amount of people acting like it's DTGs fault that some two bit TOC withdrew the licensing of their brand at the last minute is pretty silly.
