Something around a year there is a bug, when on evening(right after the sunset) the eye adaptation feature start to glitch. Almost night outside - clear shiny day from a cab view. Switching cams helps like for one second, then the world is becoming overbright through the windshield. Most of the time this glitch are triggered when you go under the bridge(or tunnels, or turn the camera in cab) when the eye adaptation bring the brightness up, and doesn't lower it back to normal. Also in "forest" areas. Sometimes after 15-ထ camera switches back and forth the brightness became cured, and sometimes it remains overbright till the end.
Can you get me a specific repro for this? with specific settings, route, train and example images/videos? Then I can take it to the team for a review. Matt.
My graphics settings: everything on max, except volumetric fog(medium) and clouds(medium). 4060 Ti with the latest gameready drivers. Today it was on service MBTA 519(Boston - Worcester). HSP46. Static weather. January 15th. Snow slider on maximum, other sliders are off. It starts right after the TSW switches from "day" to "night"(world lighting turns on, dial lights in cab become faded). This mode switch happened around Westborough. It appeared in the forest areas - it can't be fixed by changing cameras(okay it can but only for 1 second). And under the bridges - it can be fixed by changing cameras. Sorry, no screenshots from today's ride. But I have an old topic with some screenshots, that shows difference between inside and outside brightness level - https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/brightness-inside-outside-isnt-equals.83197/ Also this can be the side effect of eye adaptation bug, cause it occurs when the brightness become "normal" - https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/mbta-commuter-feedback-thread.86929/page-7#post-943237 When there was an overbright effect - dials was clearly readable.
MBTA Commuter. Train 588. CTC-5. Again right after TSW switches from "night" to "day". While the game was in the "night" mode, inside and outside brightness was equal. Not a big difference because the sun is almost rise. The difference is much more noticeable when it is completely dark. UPD. It fixed itself after the sun had fully risen. UP2. And it broke again when I drove under the bridge. UPD3. After some more bridges it unglitched for the rest of the run.
