Frankfurt to Fulda 80% off will do otherwise money stays in wallet. Could do with that 86 mind. Bit immersion breaking seeing two Earl Marischals in Carlisle at the same time!
True enough. And as I sort of posted in the Feedback thread, seeing 87's on short freight workings and relief trains with Mark Threes (which should be an 81, 85 or 86 and some old Mark Ones) is a bit incongruous. Roll on the 86!
I am new (played a bit at a friend's during the summer) to the game. I managed within my budget to get a lot of the DLCs. I mainly wanted the Brighton themed ones but then I grabbed quite a few more . I just realised that after you are finished with the initial training center training, that the DLC that makes the most sense to play as a new player in TSW5 is the Birmingham one because of how simple and easy is the BR Class 323. Right now I can grab it for 9.71 eu from the Autumn Leaf Busting Bundle as I already own the rest of the bundle. Is this bundle active just until the end of this sale that ends on the 11th of December?
There's no telling how long bundles will remaing available, but generally they're not limited to sales. Probably available after the sale, but no gaurantees...
Steam Winter Sale Thursday 19th December – 18:00 GMT Thursday 2nd January 20 - 80% discounts See links in my original post to filter using your own criteria - https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/latest-sales-thread.26334/ TSW 5 historic lows -
Might get FCL at 50% off, surely it must be worth it for that!?! I've seen some mods to improve it too, so for the price of three/four pints, may as well - just go out a couple of hours later than planned tomorrow afternoon
The TSW2 version is free, grab that and it should be in your library. TSW3, 4, and 5 are still showing as paid though - hopefully it will be sorted out soon.
Currently contemplating my Steam Wallet and this. UK wise it’s just the two Scottish Rivet routes which I’m missing, but not sure even 50% off is enough to make them worthwhile. Bernina I previously tried and refunded. For the US it’s NY to Trenton which still comes with some baggage I believe plus you need to buy the Acela separately. That leaves Semmeringbahn which might tickle my interest but mixed feelings. Also with a fair bit of decent new stuff coming out next year don’t really want to waste credit on old content I’ll drive a couple of times in each direction then set to one side.
Resist if you can OV. I agree RIvet products are not even worth 50% discount, there are plenty of other better quality products in the sales to pick up, some with as high as 80% discounts
Considering the Expert 101, but if I’m honest with myself I probably won’t invest the appropriate time to fully enjoy it. Then again, I really like the Steuerwagen…
https://www.justtrains.net/category/christmas-sale-2024 (Buying Steam keys direct from Just Trains, means that they get immediate payment rather than having to wait for Steam's payment cycle)
This sale is available via Just Trains website https://www.justtrains.net/ Today is the start of DTG’s Festival of Rail from today through to the 10th and the last four years there has been a sale on Steam of TSW products so hopefully this year too. We will see what happens at 6utc.
Semmering 60% off. Sorely tempted, should still leave enough for Mittenwaldbahn next week. Yes, gone for it. Bernina also heavily discounted £9 but just wishlisted for now.
Festival of Rail sale 6th - 13th February 2025 https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/festival-of-rail-2025.89031/#post-962613 DLC at historic lows -
Yes, coincidentally, I also picked up Semmeringbahn. Have wanted it for a while. Since I won't be buying Mittenwaldbahn until the price goes down, this will be my only Austrian/German route purchase for the foreseeable.
really odd why they didnt add the caltrain add-ons for sale despite DTG saying that they will do sales on them.
The latest roadmap announced the expiry of the Caltrain licence. The add-ons will be withdrawn from sale on the 27th of February. Should we expect a discount on these DLCs?
Slightly OT for this thread but appears Mitten not playing nice with the core performance issues. Someone reported on the preview stream sound squelching and stuttering evident every ten seconds or so. In which case I might sit it out despite really wanting the route and Krokodil. L
Yes DTG confirmed that the sale will before the items are withdrawn but will start sometime after the current FoR sale.
There is a week long Steam Spring Sale beginning at 6pm GMT on Thursday March 13th and there could be some DTG content in the sale.
Spring Sale 2025 Thursday 13 March 2025 17:00 GMT - Thursday 20th March https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/train-sim-world/articles/article/steam-spring-sale-now-on Prices at historic lows - Purchasing older versions DLC, entitles you to all versions. The TSW5 Special Edition bundle, for £22, is a cheap way to pick up the WCML, 390 Pendolino & the NLL, but best wait until the main sale begins at 5pm GMT as it may not be the lowest price, then. SEHS for TSW2 is the original version, without the Ashford & Dartford extensions.
https://isthereanydeal.com/ Sorry, I should have added the link, but all links for each version are in my original post - https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/latest-sales-thread.26334/#post-168679
I'm going to guess there won't be any discounts of this caliber on Xbox this month, despite being promised discounts across the board...
Forever and always. Partially down to Microsoft I think but if sales were more frequent then I'd be more inclined to pick up my remaining DLC's I'm missing.
It also appears that it works the opposite way around as well. I bought Maintalbahn and Fife Circle in sales and I'm sure I bought the TSW 5 version, but I also have the TSW 4 entitlement.
I wanted to understand, how do the discounts of the Spring Sale compare to that of the Summer Sale on Steam? I'm planning to buy a few DLCs but wanted to understand which time would be the best to buy.
That depends on the DLC, generally the longer you leave it after release the cheaper it will be. You can look up the price history on SteamDB. https://steamdb.info/app/2967990/dlc/
If Steam Spring Sale is what fully replaced the old March Madness sale, then some things may get discounted higher than during summer or winter sale, similarly like some things during Festival of Rail get higher discounts than during seasonal sales.
