End of summer sales at GamersGate & GamesPlanet - 29 August to 5th September Picked up Heavy Freight for £5.41. I love the Northern Trans-Pennines, it was a brilliant way to kick off TSW and the Heavy Freight pack is the icing on the cake AFAIC. I have limited interest in the other routes although I'm enjoying Main-Spessart Bahn and using PZB so I may well pick up the other German routes and locos.
Gamesplanet often do further price cuts for a single day during their sales, so it might be worth keeping a closer eye on the prices if you're interested.
I’m assuming that when the Northern Trans Pennine route is updated and transferred as preserved content into TSW2, the Heavy Freight pack will go with it. Not sure how these things work TBH.
Look at the roadmap: In Production [Preserved Collection] GDD-L5 03 - BR Heavy Freight Pack [Preserved Collection] GDF-R5 01 - Northern Trans-Pennine: Manchester – Leeds ...
Gamersgate has sale on now and into tomorrow many TSW2020 items on sale for 51-59% off: WSR, MSB, RSN, LIRR, NTP etc. https://www.gamersgate.com/games?prio=relevance&q=train sim world&pg=1
The Fall Sale is currently going on steam and I'm thinking about getting HMA (Hauptstrecke Munich-Augsburg) for it's current 15% discount to complete my German route collecting. Do you guys think the discount could be higher during the x-mas sale next month or should I just pick it up?
Hi guys, Am I right in thinking that if I buy the currently on sale deluxe version of 2020 at £20 with all the add-ons will I be able to claim the add-ons in TSW2 or is there some clause? Seems a great deal. Apologies if this is a dumb question Thanks in advance Edit: I currently don't own either

TS and TSW2 spring sale now on. Grab yourself a bargain. Only a brief selection of products though. I think this is a prelude to a sale during Steam Golden week at the end of the month. We shall see.
Waiting for Diesel legends to go on sale so I can pick it up. its the only thing missing from my collection at this time.
Interesting promo, the difference between TSW and TS looks much smaller than I thought graphically, almost missed the transition between them!
Bit uninspiring, TBH. was hoping to pick up ECW at half price but not even among the items, that I can see. Will wait until Steam sale goes live.
This is a cross-post, having already been accidentally posted in a similar sales thread under "General Discussion", which turned out to be under TS2012 (and not TSW), and I have been suitably self-punished for that evil transgression. This cross-post could incur further wrath (and further self-punishment), but, I thought it would be nice and useful to encourage anyone out there to get started in Train Sim World, if they haven't already, by saying this: ---------------------------------- For anyone reading this, and new to Train Sim World (including porawit who asked about this a few days ago), an initial purchase of Train Sim World 2020 (right now) for £9.99 will get you: - Great Western Express (UK) (express (125), commuter and freight) - Long Island Rail Road (US) (commuter) - Main Spessart Bahn (Germany) (express, regional and freight) - Northern Trans Pennine (UK) (express, regional and freight) And then a purchase of Train Sim World 2 for £11.24 will get you: - Sand Patch Grade (US) (freight) - Bakerloo Line (UK) (London metro) - Koln Aachen (Germany) (high speed and regional) Buying the Train Sim World 2020 routes will grant you those routes in Train Sim World 2 as well...... so you would get seven routes in all (including about x15 locos/trains) , for £21.23 in total. This is an incredibly good pack to get started in Train Sim World, with a great variety of trains (diesels, electrics, high speed, underground, etc...)..... for a very good price. Links are here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/530070/Train_Sim_World_2020/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/1282590/Train_Sim_World_2/ If you are new, and you want to buy more DLC content, and you buy TSW 2020 first (recommended), then buy the DLC for TSW 2020 (and you will get them for TSW 2 as well). ----------------------------------
The sales might be a good time for an SSD, for those interested in reducing windows/game/route/tile load times. It's established tech, so prices are tumbling. This one's well reviewed - https://uk.crucial.com/ssd/p5-plus/ct500p5pssd8
Well that's some pretty stingy discounts so far. 20% off Cane Creek and Cathcart Circle which were the two routes I was looking at (along with Omsi 2 which is only 30% off). May hang fire for a couple of days and see if the offers improve.
I agree! DTG are getting super stingy with their sales, the last few, including this one are rubbish, 20% off for some items that were 35% and higher on previous sales. Definitely not jumping into anything until these sales become actual sales.
What's going on with DTG sales? On Epic, London Commuter is 40% off, while stuff on Steam is only 20% off? Let me guess what the excuse will be: Steam doesn't allow higher sales?
Can’t be an excuse when previous sales (from quite a while ago now), had higher sales. I am as well very curious as to why the sales of late have been so underwhelming? In South Africa the prices for DTGs DLC are cheaper in comparison to what you guys in Europe and US are paying, around R175, which is around £8. With our health insurance we get points for doing exercise, which in turn I can get R80 (£3.77) steam vouches. I am an avid cyclist, so I complete my goal weekly and get points to get the vouches, I then wait for items to go on sale at around that price and then use the vouches to pick them up, so I hardly pay for TSW DLCs, and when I do it’s a few rands (£0.cents), so there is no way I’m buying anything until these sales get back to that point, as to be honest, I don’t want to spend my money on DTG products when I don’t have to.
In the end I just plumped for OMSI 2 and will spend the rest of the evening figuring how to start the bus and get it on a route!
OMSI comes with a very comprehensive manual, and most buses come with at least a quick-start guide. However, in short: On most buses, E turns on the ignition, then hold M until the engine starts. Some buses you need to press E two or three times to start the engine (simulating turning a key, E turns it one way and M turns it the other).
Most of the TSW2 routes (ie not preserved collection) are 40% off in the Epic store, which makes the Steam sale doubly disappointing. Even though I own the EGS version I don't want my DLC split across them. Sad times, was looking forward to picking up some new DLC tonight
The even odder thing is that some stuff isn't even discounted on Epic (top) whereas it is on Steam (bottom):
Disappointing sale. Even for the older stuff the discounts are quite low. This makes the decision easy, I will not try complete my collection and wait for better times.
