Fishing Sim World Catching Barbel In Union Canal

Afternoon everyone
can anyone advise on what bait and where are the best places to catch barbel in the union canal
i've seen them swimming on top of the water but for the love of me i just can't get them to bite,so any advice was be most appreciated

i can see them swimming on top of the water but still no luck,it's driving me crazy.
