I am extremely disappointed with the Expert 101 DLC. I just worked on it, drove several hours with it, and the reality is that, when you are not already experienced, the training is very non-existent, and leaves you to make do with untranslated German manuals. Not to mention the bugs I have listed: - Cabinet of the 286 impossible to open after resetting the cabin - Taking service on foot under LZB in a section where there is none. - Repeated flashing of the failure confirmation button after a neutral section and cut power - The brake from locomotive 101 initially on G and not on P as it should. - No DB BR 101 livery IC that appears by the AI services and in the missions taken on foot (and so on) I have never done a single mission without one of these bugs that ruin my gaming experience like never before. The so-called realism turns into hours of struggle to achieve a result that simply leads to giving up... Am I the only one and do you have any advice or places on the internet where I can get real popularization to better understand and learn ?
There is an english manual of this dlc with the description of the systems and every single fault. Its totally normal that some players have their big enlightenment after getting involved with an expert line loco like the 101, which was replicated almost 1:1 as the real counterpart. 99% of the Tsw trains are heavy simplified, even the "more detailed" ones. I think TSG here put alot of effort for players dont have any train knowledge or dont wanna study all that. Just go for the english manual.
The manual is available in English. I genuinely don't know what you mean here. What is "the cabinet", and what is "resetting the cabin"? Is LZB really active as if there were an LZB cable on the tracks (which would be a bug) or is it just on (which is correct behaviour)? Did you open the MCB before the neutral section? If you didn't, I'd certainly expect the loco to complain about that. What kind of train are you actually driving? So far, every one I've driven in the Expert 101 has had the brake mode correctly set to R by default. There is only one single locomotive in that livery in real life, so it's rare in the game too.
I dont really have anything else to say as mkraehe#6051 has stated what I would have said as well. Maybe just one or two additions. The Link to the manual can be foud here (read the post, it is in there): Guide - Br101 Expert + Cab-car: Manual And Guide | Dovetail Games Forums Also, if we are talking about bugs, pls have a look into this post as well, as the developer have actually shown exeptional transparency with their bug fixing status (mind you, a fixed bug does not mean DTG have actually pushed it out the door yet): Guide - Br 101 Expert: Troubleshooting Steps And Bug Fixing Status | Dovetail Games Forums All in all, if this DLC has tought me two things: 1) Many people want as much realism as possible, however, dont want to invest the time to understand the technical details and are then complaining about things not working as they should! 2) Be very careful to flag a certain aspect as a bug, as the chances are pretty high that you have simply not understood the system (see point 1)
