Is CTS tram edition better than
astragons bus simulator 21 tram expansion or
Tram Simulator Urban Transit

Might try it when it releases on PS5

 

If on Steam you could always buy and try within the two hour refund window and if not happy, get your money back.

 

To be honest amidst the negativity I was quite sceptical about CTS, but I still bought it as part of Steam's winter sale. You can see my review in the neighbouring thread, but it's just a subjective opinion. Recent Discord news and discussions are encouraging, so if you want to give it a try, why not? If you like trams, give it a try.

 

I will try it so long as it’s not like astragons graphics with people sat through the tram at the back

 

With passengers, the situation is strange. I've only had a couple of bugs when they teleported from the stop to the carriageway, right in front of my train. Other users have seen passengers standing on the roofs, but I haven't seen them myself.

l like trams and bought the tram games at Vienna and Munich and very rarely play them. I may invest in CTS when the price is right but it’s a fantasy setting and although it looks good, l cannot see it holding my attention. If it has the same bugs as TSW5 then l am not interested.

l love to see a tram game with the old fashion trams of the early 50s!

 

Yes I would love to see a Blackpool Tramway set in the 70’s, when the Coronation cars were still in service. Before they started fitting even heritage trams with pantographs and definitely prior to the Flexity era.

Well I see this has now been declared out of early access and shot up to full price on Steam! Judging by the feedback thus far, doesn’t seem quite ready and looks like another push out the door by DTG for more revenue as the financial year draws to a close.

 

I share your scepticism, like many others, people are worried that the game might suffer the sad fate of TramSim. I occasionally read the DE thread on Discord, and despite the doubts and some concerns, people there are more positive.
I didn't get TramSim myself, but I've read a bit about it. They say it's all the publisher's fault, but if the situation with CTS repeats itself, I think the developer will finally lose credibility and trust.
