In Journey mode, service EZK 54877, part one with the BR 363 is broken in a very weird way. At the start, once the brakes are released, the loco just takes off like a bullet and can't be stopped by any means. It just shoots out onto the main track towards Gemünden with way more than 60 km/h.Tried it with different versions of the 363, always the same result.
In timetable mode, the same service works perfectly fine.

That honestly sounds really fun, haven’t heard of such a bug in TSW before ;)

Actually, I've got a very similar one....RE 87 23391 with the 642, before you can even reach the first stop of Hochschule, half of your DMU derails and after a few seconds of driving with it derailed, the front part tips over and you lose.

I wonder if it's because of too much wind in the snowstorm... as above it doesn't happen in timetable mode, either.

Pipe Didn't see you already posted this! Seems to be an ongoing issue... one more for the long list of things which will never be fixed, apparently :(

Absolutely, you can't scroll through all the threads to see what's been posted already.

This must be one of the weirdest bugs in this already bug infested piece of a game. And I don't see a fix coming either.

I'm taking a train now, I think it's 23316 with BR218 and it's the same..... until the next oncoming train gives me the signal to clear and then thanks to the delay it gets delayed, I'm currently half an hour late and I'm practically halfway there :)

On Your Bike scenario. As previously reported no audible sounds for objective completion.

Also once you have apparently found the bike, the timetable shows the next stop as Miltenberg, but the HUD pops up station calls at all the intermediate stations, for which there is then no scoring or AP.

This STILL has not been fixed. 23314 on the 218 timetable also gets stuck.

With regard to the 642 physics. Now we have had a chance to run this on FSN, wondered what the actual top speed should be? The most I could coax out of it at full throttle on level track was 123 km/h. It’s a nice DMU but given there have been repeated calls for the physics to be buffed as it’s too slow, there does now seem more evidence of this. It was also really struggling to climb some of the steep gradients on the various “flying” junctions across the FSN route.

Seems like a slight buff might be in order.

The 642 has got mechanical transmission, which is geared for a max. speed of 120 km/h. It will definitely wanna go faster travelling downhill, but it really shouldn't, or else the transmission would take damage.
It's not a speedster, built for long and fast journeys between larger stops... that's what the 612 is for. The 642 is more like a modern-day railbus, built for multiple quick stops and low velocities. :)

But I agree, acceleration of TSW's 642 is still very much on the weak side and should be enhanced, especially in the higher speed range.

Thanks for that. So 123km/h flat out seems about right.
