Good news, I'm happy. But two questions. Why the "Schwebebahn" is so short?
and why you don't use the Talent 2 which is stil in game with NX repaint for the RB 48

"All told, Rhein-Ruhr Osten can be populated with over 200 diverse and engaging passenger services."

Thank you for answering my question from the previous article. Now I have two more - what is the price of the route and is there going to be a pre-order with a discount as was the case with earlier releases?

30 Euros and it doesn't even come with all the engines required for the services... wow.

Are you able to tell us how many services there are for each train please, and is the passenger service based off the real S8 timetable or is it fictional? (sorry if I used the wrong wording there). Also, do some services only appear if you own other routes or are all services available however if you own other routes you'll get substitution? This might be too many questions before release but it's worth a try :).

The RE services will only be available if you own MSN, RSN, or both. If not, that's another 30€, please.

Then it would have been even less of a loss to just give those who have neither, some DoStos and either the 146 or 143 as a goodie. Who knows, maybe it would even have led to more sales of the MSB/RSN from people who discovered their taste for that train on RRO.

I'm sorry but I'm not paying £25 for a route so short I expect longer route for that price.

Same here, except I'm not sorry. This DLC is a new low, and that's assuming what it offers at least works flawlessly.

Now the point is: If you own RSN and/or MSB you get all the engines, no problem. But if you don't have any of those, you are stuck with a short route with 2 engines. For £25/€30. Whut?

The asking price is a little too steep for this one unfortunately....I had hopes it would be priced similarly to WSR was at release..but it isn’t. I’ll pick this one up during sales.

On the steam side they told and there is no cause for shame.

The quality of a route depends not on the length only. It depends much more if there are interesting or unique things like the tees side steelworks at TVL. And RRO will have a big container terminal, a main- and a branch line, a view on the driving "Schwebebahn" in Wuppertal, big stations, big yards, internal passenger information systems in the S-Bahn, a fire burning and the biggest amount of of available locos for one route (7 + 1 Cabcar).

This short route is quiet fine, I much more like activity up to 45min then long runs.

Because MSB is now mandatory route in TSW2020 pack any complaint about lack of RE services isn't relevant.
(only group of old customers is affected)
DTG pricing is solid as rock: Route 30€; Loco add-on 14€ so, if you want save your money than wait for sale.

Actually that would be an extra $60! You can get them both on sale now though. I bought RSN,MSB and the 155 and I enjoyed all of them, I can’t wait to be able to use them on this route!

I don't necessarily agree with this sentiment....yes MSB is now bundled in TSW2020 but I would go out on a limb and say most people here on the forums were around before TSW2020 (The joined date in their profile is a good indication of that), so the number of people who do not own MSB may be more than you think.

I think those complaints are still relevant at the very least...

LastTrainToClarksville Is there a particular reason you're skimming through the forum and downvote about every post I've made recently? If there's something you want to tell me, the conversation tool is your friend. Do I not have the right to dislike a product someone puts on the market? You certainly have the right to like and enjoy said product, so I'd appreciate a bit more maturity on your part.

The preview video just before this one includes a brief view of a container crane in motion, which I'm hoping means that there will be an activity that includes that task. Container work in TS has always been unsatisfactory, with containers appearing from and vanishing into thin air in DTG's own scenarios. Some of us who wrote our own container-related scenarios too care to add stationary containers that helped cover this clumsy action; I'm hopeful that the loading action in TSW will be more plausibly handled. I'll know for sure next week.

False accusation. I have far better things to do with my time than "skimming through the forum" to find your posts. Do I down-vote those that I come upon while browsing through a particular topic? When I feel that they deserve that, yes. Everyone who uses these forums has the right to react to posts as he or she sees fit. Maturity has nothing to do with it: it's a matter of opinion.

Fair enough. You're still downvoting opinions though. And it is indeed a matter of maturity. As long as people don't post plain wrong information (like RRO being 40 miles in total for example) I don't downvote theirs just because they are happy with what RRO offers.

I'm curious how the crane will manage to get the container under the overhead wire though that, from the lack of diesel engines for German routes, I assume will be there.

Everyone has their own individual opinion on Rhein Ruhr Osten. Some think that it is too short, others aren't bothered about the route length. Some people like German DLC, some like British DLC and others like American DLC. Some people like electric trains , others like Diesel locomotive. Some people like routes with lots of stations, some like routes with few station, some like hauling freight and some like shunting. My point is every has their own opinion on each DLC and that is ok.

Fair point. But to get them engines you have to have MSB, RSN, and the loco dlc. But I don't agree fully with your statement. Yes the quality depends on the things you stated, but you want a good route length with good quality and etc to be good quality. That's like a video game with good plot but a short story line. The same with a movie.

Really, I didn't notice that. As you stated this route looks to have great quality, but the route length still bites me on the behind.

Well with the length and stock of the route, i hope the playability of it makes up for the price. I.e. scenarios/services *ahem* timetable i mean

(Bit off topic) Thats my struggle with many of them, if theres no editor please make scenario packs for the routes for a fiver each or something

I have a question to the community.
When i pre-order the new route, do i have to buy it again or does the route straight away download onto my DLC list?

You only buy it once and from there it will sit in your DLC content list until Oct 10 and will automatically download once released by DTG.

Yep still pumped for this one, it looks likes its going to offer allot of content considering how they have included stock from other dlc , i love the idea of extra passenger services on the main line, its functions like that that will help each and every new DLC released add more value to the next, i think that is lost on allot of people here.

Still main negative not allowing it to be a expansion( probably a tech issue) to RSN i feel is real miss for this one but the DLC usage is a great step forward.

With having MSB already we can play the DB BR 146 on RRO. Is there a chance that we will get that nice loco on RSN too?

Something like care about loyal customers in TWS franchisee isn't supported, which is little bit disappointment.
Focus is for new customers only, otherwise no need to create any TSW20XX packs, where routes are priceless.
I buy all of mine DLC individual to avoid mandatory content in package.
(It costs more if you want fresh new stuff)

155 with new container wagons look great.
Any detail about freight services and possible loading/unloading points?
Coal trains for 155 DLC owners?

I hope it takes not so long that there will be a german shunter DLC. At the container terminal there is minimum one shunter in real. It is visible on Google Maps.

Just to clarify. Extra services on this new route. Any new services on RSR or MSB. Containers or emu substitutions for example?

Just thought i'd put my two cents here. Like others have said, when it comes to pricing, their are more factors to consider than just route length, content matters too. Whether or not this route is worth £25 is yet to be seen as the route isn't out yet, however if the route has great detail put into it, it could be argued that it makes up for the short route.

If a route like Edinburgh to King's Cross was made for TSW which is about 330 miles and 4 hours each way, you would play it a lot less than other routes due to time commitments and DTG would have all their hard work wasted for one route with not much incentive for replayability, when multiple shorter more replayable routes could have been made instead. So while this route could have been extended to Düsseldorf, it would mean less time would be put into other routes therefore we get less content and DTG loses money.

I'm not trying to be a corporate shill, just thinking about both sides of the coin.
