I am referring to this post I made in the FTF feedback thread:
    https://forums.dovetailgames.com/th...nzigtalbahn-feedback.84527/page-3#post-898598

But I want to reiterate this in this thread as well. As we are now on the third iteration of an MFD retrofitted ICE (on FTF it is the Br411) I believe that this bug deserves its own thread... (and, yes, I have raised a ticket as well).

The problem is that on those ICEs you are actually not able to distinguish if you are in a restrictive mode on PZB or a normal PZB braking curve.

For PZB it is regulated that this mode will be indicated in two ways:
On older "MFA" style cabs you get an alternating flashing between 70/85 lights (in case PZB mode "O") to indicate a restrictive supervision. The speeds it is measuring you against are different to the non restrictive supervision.

On newer "MFD" style screens you usually get a text readout to indicate what speed is supervised at the moment. Hence, the driver knows from that speed that he is in restrictive mode.

I am assuming that this is where the mistake was made: As the ICE retrofitted screens are also MFDs, there should be no alternating flashing lights. But they also dont have the text readout underneath (which was probably the part known to the developer).

The first statement is unfortunately wrong. All these MFDs in those ICEs do is emulate the older style MFAs. Hence, you DO get the alternating flashing lights.

I hope that this explaination is enough to convince someone to get this fix implemented. After all, the logic is all there and can be copied over from MFA locos in game. I am not very hopeful, tbh, as these kind of "non gameplay braking" bugs have a very rare chance to ever getting fixed (after all, you can still use the HUD to indicate what mode you are in). But after making the same mistake three times over a period of several years should maybe change it for this instance...

I was going to start a new thread about this subject! Glad I searched first. Very odd that there has been no fix for this in any of the three ICE trains in game, and (from I can see anyway) this is the only German train that has this issue. I’ll raise a support ticket too.
