Good to hear your enjoying it :) I’ve not noticed any performance differences, however it certainly reflects a lot less because the droplets are...
Thanks. The droplets on the screen, especially on older DLC, is of lower resolution. I tried to increase the resolution, but unfortunately it does...
Hello. I did, yes. However that one wasn't as good as this one. I've removed that one as a result.
Hello all, I've replaced the default looking rain visuals with a brand new, more realistic looking variant. Gone are the white lines taking over...
It shouldn’t crash the game. Perhaps it’s worth verifying the game files with Steam, to check if anything is missing.
Ironically, despite its age, TS1 can look and feel a whole lot more realistic than TSW, thanks to third parties and the community. TS1 also has...
This is the thing. DTG still don't know who or what TSW is aimed for. Whether it wants to be a proper simulator or an arcade game. Right now we...
Yes. The 158 operates the long distance Leeds to Carlisle services. Past Skipton, the line isn't electrified. Other than that, all other services...
The route shown is still the same, yes. I believe the logo is just an overlay over the map, and doesn’t mean it’s old as in BR era. The lines...
I was thinking exactly this; it reminds me of Cathcart because of all its branches.
I’d like to propose for the Airedale and Wharefdale lines to be built, based in the modern era. The route itself offers lots of journey...
I understand the performance issues with live/real time shadows, however could we not have static shadows or just something to make it look darker...
I've always wondered why in TSW, we don't have proper shaders for the passenger interior area of trains? For those that don't know what this is,...
I honestly thought the developers would be actively working on to try and improve it but instead it feels like it’s been forgotten about, with us...
Its one thing to have a barely functional scenario planner, but to not be able to share anything just takes the p*$$
As the title says, since launch of the scenario designer (aka glorified quick drive) why have we still no sharing abilities? I understand this may...
Whilst it’s good the community come along and fix things, it highlights DTG’s constant shortcomings. I’d prefer if DTG actually learn and improve...
I believe this is one of the reasons why they don’t implement it. I mean why develop a realistic system which takes time when you can just make...
If I remember correctly, there was a third party/community based patch with fixed the out of sync sounds. The original sounds were still used....
Iirc Matt said that it isn’t included because it’s simply a gimmick. Pretty ironic since the game is full of gimmicks.
That was the West Midlands Cross City line, which uses the Class 323. If I remember correctly, a conductor offered to record the sounds. However...
I believe they are both very similar. Perhaps some minor interior differences in regards to the seating arrangements.
Other way round. We’ve already got 377/4s. It’s the 377/1s which will just be a renumbered 377/4.
Thanks for the feedback. It was my first ever ‘proper’ weathering attempt, so I think I’ll know what to do differently next time.
What I’d like to know is how you managed/managing to add such a large amount of services whilst still maintaining acceptable performance? Has...
It’s possible, but I’ll only do trains that I’m personally interested in.
This is actually an issue with the (many) core audio issues in TSW as there are various shortcomings. One other noticeable thing is that horns...
Have DTG explained why they rejected their offerings? Seems very unusual if they’re offering to help with sounds etc.
With all due respect, that’s not true. Particularly with older locos, they are louder and sound good whilst powering up.
Yeah SEHS was definitely a rushed made route. There are so many areas which look so poorly modelled. Even right from the view of your train.
Seeing as someone else has already done one, I’m not going to continue with it. Instead I’ll use my resources on other things, such as weathering.
In regards to the scenery, I'd vote Cathcart to be the best so far. Lighting issues will hopefully be resolved. SEHS definitely ISN'T known for...
I could do, however this would be for another time.
Thanks for the comments :)
I think we all agree that the actual recordings are fine for the most part (just the lack of brake squeal), it’s just the volume of the sounds...

Remember it’s not all about mileage. You could have a very long line, but with not much in between it. The most amount of development time is...
Glasgow Cathcart Circle has to be one of the best, if not the best, modelled line for TSW. In every direction I look, I see detail and no...
External weathering complete.. I've also amended the front yellow panel, as the default had a slight weird green tinge to it. I've made it so its...
This is a core issue, so only DTG can fix it.
Unfortunately I have no knowledge of this. I also use the -DX12 command so livery editor doesn't work for me anyway.
I’m not sure you can crack or hack livery designer to include .pak files unfortunately. Livery designer is good for the basics, but it certainly...
Under the pantograph it can get very dirty, with corrosion and water stains on the vinyl/paint work. I think it’s the metals mixing with rain...
Now its time to weather the 314 and make it less shiny/glossy by altering the materials. As you can see, I have used the pantograph coach as a...
Some work with the 314 windows, with the glass now actually looking like glass and not totally transparent. In more detail: - Weathered glass,...
I find on quite a few occasions, yards in TSW are totally unlit when they should either have massive floodlights or smaller lights placed next...
Tram Sim, also an UE4 game, looks really nice at night, as they have plenty of dynamic lights. However, I don’t know if their sessions are 24...
ARuscoe I don’t expect them to make any changes, bar critical lighting changes such as on GCC stations, to any existing routes, however for new...
I don’t disagree with you on that, as rural areas can be very dark. Though I think build up areas need a lot more dynamic lighting than they...
