These web pages are still the best and most easy-to-understand explanation of PZB I've come across: https://www.sh1.org/eisenbahn/rindusi.htm
But there are things that absolutely have gone downhill - major things, like DTG giving up on finishing steam.
There isn't going to be a roadmap today as far as I can tell.
I think that while TSW will always be more scripted than Run8 (though I suspect that the real degree of freedom given to crews lies somewhere...
The practices of DTG have not borne this claim out. If it was true we'd be seeing DTG avoid routes that need cab cars, because that would mean...
The worst TSW products are Spirit of Steam/West Cornwall Railtour/Peak Forest and it's not even close.
I don't think so - the missing services are pretty much entirely either Edinburgh-Cowdenbeath or Edinburgh-Perth/Dundee - between Cowdenbeath and...
"Incomplete/unrealistic" is perhaps a bit strong - from what I can find out while cab cars are commonly pared with 101s they do pull trains...
There was absolutely stuff added to the SEHS timetable that wasn't originally in the timetable...
Well, every time we've got a new cab car in the game previously they've come with a loco - and usually a new loco...
Only if you make them in the Editor and not the Livery Designer, which frankly you should be doing anyway.
Did this happen in reality, and if so when?
I'm not being defensive, I think people are confused about what's missing and what's not. I'm the one who annotated the Scotrail timetable to show...
So not services that the original poster was talking about. They do know what runs there. All the services in the timetable are real ones with...
If the teaser was on a new route it'd be too obvious...
Look at the left of the photo...
There are what? Missing Edinburgh-Glenrothes services?
I'm a bit confused as to what you're having problems with.
HST speed boards apply to more classes than just Class 43s.
There are no missing Glenrothes services. The shunt is a separate service, though, so you'll miss it if you quit after completing the first service.
Steam installs your games by default to [Steam install directory]/steamapps/common. You should also be able to right-click on the game in Steam...
My objection with the Met line is that the signalling is completely borked...
I'm fairly sure they never outright said this - the line was always that manual firing was always coming at some point in the future before they...
The thing with Simugraph is that you can in theory get more realistic results than TSC - if you know what you're doing and have the right data....
I'm sorry, the idea that TSC's trains are all more simply simulated than TSW's is pish.
I wasn't arguing against your point...
Aren't the destinations cooked into every map?
Why would Rivet invest greater income into higher quality rather than keeping it as profit or investing it in greater quantity if quality doesn't...
Did it? I'm fairly sure it was broken in TSW2 as well. Can you load up TSW2 and check?
Greenmangaming is a legitimate site, they get their keys direct from DTG.
The H&C line is not now part of the Circle line!
Century of Steam has a very narrow focus though - I doubt DTG would ever make turn-of-the-century US steam content even if the steam simulation...
If you ignore the user-made timetables... And TSW timetables can't be dynamic by their very nature.
I really don't think extending the water tiles a bit would have that great a performance impact...
I'm fairly certain the water tiles could be extended...
Personally I would say that the timetable should be higher priority than scenery...
Yes, Kilburn Park's displays are swapped for some reason. It's been an issue ever since the route was released.
Also it's possible to have the signal clear when passengers have finished boarding but before the player presses the "close doors" button.
Not to mention all the shots of steam locos they show in the trailer...
All the services in the route's timetable are realistic and use the actual times, it's just that some services are missing.
Thin lines at a distance are always a problem on monitors with a limited resolution.
Couldn't you solve the issue by using two formations instead of coupling units off-map?
Okay, so for reference here's the actual northbound timetable for the line with the services not included in the game marked in red. Note that the...
This is a longstanding issue, apparently the 150 is not set up in the same way the 142/158/170 are.
If you look at the actual timetables it's only missing the Cowdenbeath shuttles and a few of the Perth/Dundee services. I'll actually go through...
The only missing services I see the Cowdenbeath shuttles and one of the Dundee services. Thanks, that's very helpful.
Games tend to not play nice with wires and visibility, though.
And the full story is...? Please tell me which services are missing.
Just as a reminder, most of the services in the real timetable are present in the route: Current timetable
