Nonsense. All TSC lets you do is overlap a Google Map, but you can't get any data from it - you have to place everything yourself using it as a guide.
I have always suspected that SimuGraph has been severely talked up by DTG, and in fact is little different to how other train simulators work.
No, this claim makes no sense - these changes are not merely replacing the listed products with newer ones of comparable quality: GTX 970 > RTX...
I don't believe TGV Duplexes have ever run into St Pancras - a single TGV did once, but that wasn't a duplex and it didn't enter under its own...
Well, that's dependent on it actually being the route of our dreams...
I would presume through the standard Steam manual distribution system for PC at least, like previous titles. This means that while it probably...
I am fairly certain all the trademarks of defunct TOCs are held by somebody - IIRC the DfT? But in any case, I don't think there would be any...
The new road map says this: Will there now be genuine variability in the timings of AI services, or is it just a case of switching to a...
They presumably still do that, it's just now the route they're "loading in" (I presume they're not loading in the full route even in TSW2) is the...
They have strongly implied that TSW2 loco DLC will be delinked from TSW2 route DLC, but other than that nothing has been said.
No it isn't. It'll work like layers work. The route DLC will just point the game to the training centre route to find the trains.
So in other words, there is unlikely to have been a large change in file structure.
64-bit would have been a paid upgrade if TSC was TSW... And a lot of the big updates predated 2015.
Yes, because Dovetail has never neglected core mechanics or pushed out unfinished DLC... TSC had plenty of genuine core upgrades over the years.
I strongly suspect they have not been dissaciated from the routes, it's just that in future they'll all be associated with the Training Centre...
I doubt it will be a one time deal. Buying TSW1 DLCs from steam key reseller sites (legitimate ones, at least) gives you the corresponding TSW2 DLC.
Logically wouldn't it be the opposite - if TSW3 does well, that means that biyearly paid upgrades are a successful model and TSW4 is assured...
Direct quote from the roadmap:
How long can we expect until TSW4?
That's covered in the roadmap - the "solution" is to disable saves entirely in TSW3 and then reenable them on a per-route basis. TSW2 does not...
The answers from the roadmap are: 1) No. 2) Unclear. 3) No.

64-bit would have been a big enough feature for a paid TSW release, it seems. Besides, most of the new features were added before 2016.
Actually quite a lot was added to the game over the years. The Train Simulator Classic of today has a lot more features than the Railworks of 2009.
Well for starters, it would mean that DTG would be consistently lying...
The problem is that I have absolutely no faith that in two years' time you won't show up with another new feature that means we alll have to buy TSW4.
Well that's another thing. We were told that they were taking a break to work on fixes. It turns out that was a lie.
But you have caught yourself in a bind here. Either TSW3 can offer core improvements worth charging for or sticking with TSW2 is a good option.
...unless you don't want the routes.
DTG only adopted the policy of releasing new paid installments in 2020... It is a simple matter of value, which is not the same as labour. If DTG...
You do realise that DTG managed that for a decade without resorting to making people pay £30 for biyearly "upgrades"?
It should be fairly obvious that route extensions are not happening. SEHS is only getting an extension because it's getting a new version for...
From the other thread:
Can't say I'm excited. Improved weather just isn't enough for me to want to pay £30, especially when now a TSW4 in 2024 seems inevitable and the...
Aside from the latest DLC we got...
God forbid toys be visible at a tourist destination...
Strong words for some unplaced travel posters that encourage people to explore the route.
That would hardly be impressive though - TSC has that.
I'm not sure I'd go that far - at least this time we've got things like a simulated steam chest as standard...
I did think the track on the left looked a bit narrow... But I don't know if the difference between the rails is big enough.
How are those new features?
That I strongly doubt. Shelby to Whitefish is 152 miles. Innsbruck - St. Anton Settle - Carlisle Shelby - Whitefish Tokyo - Hakone Washington...
Yes I was. I don't appreciate accusations of dishonesty.
Well, hopefully most of that was getting the groundwork ready and future steam releases won't take longer than diesel/electric ones. Well, there...
Both large and small ejectors on?
I was refering to the "But what you have once bought will be yours forever." line.
But that's also the case with DTG?
I wonder what the reaction would be if they recorded new announcements.
Well, frankly, I'm not sure there has ever been a train simulator that has risen above "just fine".
Could we get some people standing around routes looping animations, like TSC has? It feels really odd wandering around, say, the sheds at Edge...
