That’s right, at Redhill they reverse.
Now that this is the final Rush Hour route to be showcased and released, I feel now is the perfect time for us to get our questions in for the...
Hello all. I have update this mod so it now works with 4.26. I have also bundled all enhancements together so you now only have to download one...
Regarding the Cathcart lighting, I made a detailed thread about it here. Unfortunately not a single person from DTG has come and acknowledged it...
I believe it uses the default UE4 font or something like that. The only route to receive different font is the BKL line. I hate how it looks as...
Hi, I’ll have a look at doing this within the next couple of days. Thanks.
They use landmarks and lights to know where they are. They also know where they are as they remember where signals are placed and the way the...
Back onto the topic of night lighting, it’ll be nice to transition from station ambient lighting to near pitch black darkness. Unfortunately the...
*cough* Cathcart *cough* The station lighting is far too dim and very directional. The station lamp posts don’t spread the light out, but instead...
I’ve had to put up with that awful reflective light for the past X years in TSW at night, so let me enjoy my pitch black cabs and terrain when and...
I have no doubt Adam's team can work their magic by adding it to preserved routes, as well as new routes, however as mentioned, it takes time and...
I'm currently watching the livestream and can say night lighting is looking A LOT better. Whilst there are still improvements to be made, I'm...
TrainSim-Matt One thing I think that could be improved is that some of the 'go via' instructions should be kept hidden, as this subsequently...
ASRGT I agree with what you're saying. Having to go back to routes to upgrade their skyboxes its clearly very time consuming (even if its a click...
It’s the transition between the stations baked lighting and the dynamic lighting. Although I don’t get why they always make it such as harsh...
I think the simple answer is that the temperature has been set a couple of degrees too high, which happened post Rush Hour update. Looks like it...
I won’t have access to my computer for the next few days however I’ll consider doing it.
Nope. I haven't touched it as I was hoping DTG were going to sort it out.
Whilst this doesn't change the look of the UI itself, it changes the 'sickly' orange colour to a much more acceptable blue colour. Credit to the...
Scottish City Commuter - seriously? Which Scottish city are we talking about? DTG are really on this trend of 'dumbing down' the names of routes,...
“New to the route comes reflective signage and atmospheric lighting that bring the night to life!” I really hope DTG aren’t overhyping this as...
For me, I have now disabled the -dx12 Steam Launcher command for TSW 2, as it was giving me significant performance issues post 4.26 update. The...
One thing I hope DTG gets rid of, or at least tones down, is this really ugly fog effect every time it rains. It's just so poor looking and...
This is ECW, which has basically been untouched since 4.16. I'm sure once Adam's team get their hands on it they will make it look a lot better....
Shame its still quite substantially over lit.
I bet we still won’t get any questions answered regarding London to Brighton, just like in the last Q&A session.
Personally I prefer to create texture and a few sound mods. This can include things like rebranding, introducing real world brands (which DTG...
You can see what I mean about the sky and ground lighting being totally out of sync in the above picture. Thankfully it isn’t that bad in newer...
This is by far the worst lighting I've seen in the game. ECW - 03:50, June, Full Cloud. In its defence, its still using the old skybox. [ATTACH]
I think its to do with how they set up the cab lighting. I think it 'ignores' the cab shell and glass and illuminates the outside world.
That's just one of the many inconsistencies with the lighting in TSW. Try it in June as ironically this can make nights darker.
I've noticed that whilst driving the 314, if another 314 passes in the other direction, it'll momentarily play a 'whoosh' sound for all three...
This has happened because the right sort of light mode hasn’t been selected when building the route. Instead of selecting down firing lighting,...
I really don’t see why DTG find it so hard to add tunnel occlusion or do it properly in the first place? I’m not even going to mention the...
Let’s hope the old saying of ‘Save the best ‘till last’ is applicable to the London - Brighton route. I really want this route to stand out and...
What issues are you facing? I’m inclined to say that older consoles will struggle more and more as newer routes come out. The hardware is several...
It seems to vary wildly across routes.
My mod has now been updated to the latest version, to work on 4.26. Download here
You're right. Often night lighting is a lot worse than that. I booted up a random service - this is GCC at 23:00 during January on full cloud....
Whilst I don't disagree with that statement, I can't say its the same for driving trains at night. I've been in cabs at night and during night...
That's what I was thinking. I've been in train cabs in total darkness and the only thing I can see is the lights from the dials.
This is how I expect my cab to look at night. Just the dials lit up with it being nice and dark. No annoying and immersive breaking blue tinge...
I love how your cab is somehow being lit by an invisible light source whilst outside is pitch black. Gotta love all the inconsistencies ;)
TSW’s lighting is all over the place. The only thing that looks decent is Summer midday. Sunrise, sunset and night time lighting look completely...
r.SkylightIntensityMultiplier=1 is the usual value for brightness. The higher the number, the brighter things will look. Unfortunately this has a...
Glad to see your continued constructive criticism input :)
I've noticed that since the UE 4.26 upgrade, the shadows now look a lot darker and more defined. I'm not complaining one bit as I'm loving the...
Get rid of r.LandscapeLODDistributionScale and r.StaticMeshLODDistanceScale in your engine.ini
It seems this is almost linked to Dovetail Live. Perhaps it isn't closing the connection as intended which causes the crash? As mentioned,...
That's literally no excuse not to complain or provide constructive criticism just because we have 'the best version' of TSW.
